this book disappointed me a bit.
Revisado: 09-16-18
The narrator is OUTSTANDING in all if their books. this was a bit dull. the narrator did hold my interest but it took a while to get through. It still isn't going to stop me from reading the two I have yet to read. The previous ones I read were outstanding. I still would recommend reading this book if your are reading the other books they have on audio . I say reading but it's actually audiobook. this one does have good information on the Warrens. their research and experiences. on a personal level. the LOVE they have for one another. They made a handsome pair. I admire them tremendously. Their love for one another and their sense if humor and strong will. IF YOU Love the Warrens. listen to the book. I just wouldn't start the first book here. I recommend Demonologists to read first for new readers.

Historia
In 1967, as the new sound of rock and roll was taking over popular music, John Byrne Cooke was at the center of it all. As a member of D.A. Pennebaker’s film crew, he witnessed the astonishing breakout performances of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix at the Monterey Pop Festival that June. Less than six months later, he was on a plane to San Francisco, taking a job as road manager for Janis and her band, Big Brother and the Holding Company. From then on, Cooke was Joplin’s road manager amid a rotating cast of musicians and personnel, a constant presence behind the scenes as the woman called Pearl took the world by storm.

I absolutely loved this book. I learned alot by reading about the founding Father and Mother in the paranormal research. They dedicated their life to helping people when nobody else would. amazing read. the narrator contributed immensely to the audio version and I assume has professional "storytelling" performances. I would highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed the book and new details to me that I never read before. the dates on a few things seemed different from what I have read previously. I actually finished it July 3rd, ironically. I also felt the Narrator was good for this book.

Historia
They looked like a slightly mischievous version of the all-American couple: a handsome army veteran and his gorgeous artist girlfriend. Zackery Bowen, after completing his tour of Iraq, came home to New Orleans, and in two weeks before Hurricane Katrina, he met Addie Hall. Their improvised, hard-partying endurance during and after the storm inspired news outlets around the world to feature the couple as the personification of the indomitable spirit of New Orleans. But beneath the surface, trouble was brewing.

In this poignant and disturbing memoir of lost innocence, coercion, survival, and healing, Dianne Lake chronicles her years with Charles Manson, revealing for the first time how she became the youngest member of his Family and offering new insights into one of the 20th century's most notorious criminals and life as one of his "girls". While much has been written about Charles Manson, this riveting account from an actual Family member is a chilling portrait that recreates in vivid detail one of the most horrifying chapters in modern American history.

I loved this story. She told the story in a way where I felt I was back in the 1960s going through it all with her. A brave woman who will inspire all who read it.
