Historia
Best-selling author J. Randy Taraborrelli reveals the unsung heroines of the inimitable Bush family dynasty: not only First Ladies Barbara and Laura, but other colorful women whose stories have been left out of history for far too long, including Barbara’s mother-in-law, the formidable Dorothy Bush; the enigmatic Columba and the controversial Sharon; and Laura’s twins, Jenna and Barbara.

Bush generations
Revisado: 09-01-24
The narrator had a very soothing voice, which made it easy to listen to such a long story. I've previously read other Bush memoirs, but this one went back further to introduce other women and how and what they contributed to the Bush saga. Hated to have it end!

Not interesting, more for younger adults. Too many storylines, plus all the trivia statements. Getting my credit back.

Historia
Four days before Christmas in 1943, a badly damaged American bomber struggled to fly over wartime Germany. At its controls was a 21-year-old pilot. Half his crew lay wounded or dead. It was their first mission. Suddenly a sleek, dark shape pulled up on the bomber’s tail - a German Messerschmitt fighter. Worse, the German pilot was an ace, a man able to destroy the American bomber with the squeeze of a trigger.

Too foul
Revisado: 03-04-22
Liked the story. Would have been better if the sex scenes were not so graphic or just eliminated! I'm not a prude but they added nothing to the story. It could have been a sweet family, holiday tale if the nasty language was toned down/eliminated.

Home is where the heart is?
Revisado: 07-28-21
I grew up in a house that I was embarrassed by, never able to have friends over. Yes, better than the one in the book. My next door neighbor girls felt the same about theirs, calling it the ( our "street name" Mansion.) The older we got, going to schools that had kids from the better side of town, the more we felt the effect. Yet both of us ended up living there again as divorced mom's, because we could not afford to live anywhere else. I guess we could both write our own books. This book brought back memories.
