Historia
The End Times are coming. With the hordes of Chaos marshalling in the north, Emperor Karl Franz leads his armies in defence of his realm. But when the worst happens, Reiksmarshal Kurt Helborg must return to Altdorf, the capital of the Empire. There, he must steel himself and prepare his soldiers to defend the jewel of the Empire from the corrupted advance of the forces of Chaos. As plague spreads and the defences weaken, all seems lost—until help arrives from a most unexpected source... if Helborg can bring himself to accept it.

Epic
Revisado: 12-04-23
Sublime character development, jumping from Karl Franz to Vlad von Carstein and on to the bothers of Chaos - all pleasantly presented by the narrator.

Historia
The End Times are coming. As the forces of Chaos threaten to drown the world in madness, Mannfred von Carstein and Arkhan the Black put aside their difference and plot to resurrect the one being with the power to stand against the servants of the Ruinous Powers and restore order to the world - the Great Necromancer himself. As they set about gathering artefacts to use in their dark ritual, armies converge on Sylvania, intent on stopping them. But Arkhan and Mannfred are determined to complete their task. No matter the cost, Nagash must rise again.

Historia
The millennium between the breakup of the western Roman Empire and the Reformation was a long and hugely transformative period - one not easily chronicled within a single book. Yet distinguished historian Chris Wickham has taken up the challenge in this landmark book, and he succeeds in producing the most riveting account of medieval Europe in a generation.

Comfortable delivery
Revisado: 07-29-23
What a great and relaxing volume, covering the main points and aspects of about 800 years of history. Nothing too detailed but still enough to crate a pattern of understanding as a whole of the medieval Europe of legends, popes and kings.

Historia
The bitter conflict between England and France we call The Hundred Years War, and lasting 116 years between 1337 and 1453, was fought over claims by the English kings to the French throne. By the end of this titanic struggle, it can fairly be said that the Middle Ages had come to an end.

Detailed account from a military perspective
Revisado: 03-10-22
Excellent and in-depth account of the military and to some degree political aspects of the initial stage of the HYW. Even if it’s wonderfully British in its perspective, it still constitutes an enjoyable read.
