Wish I could listen to it all in one sitting!

These characters are new to me and I found myself unsure who to pull for! When is the next battle? Who is going to die next? Will it be my new favorite character? If you like a thriller, this is for you. I just couldn't listen to this and do anything else at the same time - the story needed my attention.

The story makes me wish I had a coin to bind someone to me but to do it properly. Vivi and Cade are destined to love each other due to the coin that Vivi used to bind Cade to her, and the ages it took to for Cade to find her and profess his loss is so endearing. Diane Darcy writes a love story that I could easily step into and want to be a part of and the narrators do a fabulous job of bringing the characters to life. Take a listen to hear what happens between Vivi and Cade...

Oh the situations that come up with these wonderful Highlanders! Adam has two days to set things right at home and he works so hard to prepare his wife for the birth of their child. The love he shows for her, the sacrifice he makes for a stranger and his willingness to take on a difficult task make him so endearing. The author has written a wonderful story about a delightful man and the narrator has brought him to life. Wish I could bring him to life for a little while for myself!

Within the legend of Carlo Sarf, the author has intricately woven several wonderful characters (the Journeyman being my favorite) who meet each other in a world I find fascinating! The mix of fantasy and reality, characters that show good and bad in their persona, good versus evil - all kept me listening! And I was so wanting the story to never end! And thank you to the narrator for bringing them characters to life!

What a great historical narrative!

I’ve always loved the books by the Brontës sisters but the history behind the family made me appreciate the books even more. Now I have to go back and read again the ones I have read and find the ones I haven’t. To know that their books were based on their experiences adds a deeper sadness to stories that were already sad. The family suffered much, but they never lost their strength. Great tribute to a great family. Wonderful narration that kept me listening.

I didn’t expect the ending the Morey’s life but I’m so happy for him! After spending years with the 79 at Culloden Moore, his wish is granted and he finds the truth. He has always been loved. Wonderful story and great narration.

The set of three books ended much too quickly! The heroes and heroines are lovable and brave, yet some, like Eddiwarth, show how you can learn to be brave. The story is beautifully written and narrated, and I hated each time I had to hit pause. If you love stories of magical lands and losing yourself in people and places, you will love these books!

Great characters to fall in love with!

From beginning to end, the characters come to life and stay real. I found myself wanting to be a part of their story and part of the action. The Highlander Scotsman and the American Emily and their lineage to come - a great family to love. The story flows so quickly that I was sad to hear the book end. Beautifully narrated and written, made me search out more books by the author.
