Great series, but disappointing end fight in this book

I love this series, but it seemed like the end of this book was a bit rushed. No epic battle with the main character and his gold rank nemesis on Earth. Also seems like there could have been a bit more with the main character leaving earth, but maybe that will come up later…. Follow up on the new areas he took over and the populated would have been nice.

Great book, I can't wait for the next one!

What a great book and series! I rarely leave reviews, but I had to on this one. The fight scene with the troll, OMG, so funny! I was listening to this book, while I was driving, and had to pull over because I was laughing so hard! Jason Cheek, please never change your writing style to accommodate the woke crowd! There was nothing offensive in this book.

You would think that after eight books this author's imagination would run dry on the topic of "Night Runners", but he keeps it entertaining with fresh content, including side stories and new situations for the main characters.
