Historia
A rags to riches story in reverse. Dominique is an African American woman who grew up in an upper middle class family. Think The Cosby Show, except her father was a banker and her mother, a teacher. An only child, Dominique fought to at least be able to go to public school because she felt like she was missing out. She was able to spend one year in public school, but then back in private school, she went when her test scores reflected how much she enjoyed that year.

Nikki's life is complicated and complex to say the least. I found this story to hold my attention and it had me anticipating throughout this book what will happen next. Now, I'm speculating what will happen in the next book of this trilogy.

Historia
Seahawks star running back Curt Warner and his wife, Ana, were prominent figures in Seattle in the early 1990s. When they dropped from the public eye after Curt’s retirement, everyone assumed it was for a simpler life. But the reality behind their seclusion was a secret they hid from even their closest friends: their twins, Austin and Christian, had been diagnosed with severe autism. What followed was a painful struggle to hold their family and their marriage together in a home filled with chaos, emotional exhaustion, and constant fear for the safety of their unpredictable but beloved boys.

A Great Story told by Both Parents
Revisado: 03-04-19
I loved the story of surviving all the challenges of raising autistic twins and how they overcame them told by both parents and even a sibling!
