Virtual voice needs a little tweaking

I was hesitant to listen to a book narrated by Virtual voice. Overall, the voice was pleasant but there were so many mispronounced words, it became distracting. The story was good, not great. I'll stick to human narrators going forward.

A Book that Made Me a Better Person

The best novel ever written

I first read this book in high school 40 years ago. I just finished listening to this version today and am just as enchanted as I was the first time. The rich story telling and contemporary history lesson makes this my favorite novel of all time. I even named my puppy Hugo.

Boring zombie story

Love post-apocalyptic stories and understand a need to suspend reality and give leeway to writing skills, but this story was so boring. First book I haven't finished in years.

Disappointing Narration

This story was enjoyable but was difficult to listen to because of Dennis Quaid's narration. He does have the vocal range or ability to pull off multiple voices, especially females. His natural voice is gruff and it feels like he's shouting.
