Historia
Deep down here by the dark water lived old Gollum, a small slimy creature. I don’t know where he came from, nor who or what he was. He was Gollum—as dark as darkness, except for two big round pale eyes in his thin face. He had a little boat, and he rowed about quite quietly on the lake; for lake it was, wide and deep and deadly cold.

Great reading of a classic book
Revisado: 05-19-24
If you’re anything like me and saw Andy Serkis was doing this, rest assured it is no gimmick - his narration is masterfully done!

Historia
Present day American politics are at a historical state of divisiveness. Democrats and Republicans alike cling to their respective ideologies, their grip more firm today than yesterday. Both parties claim to only want what is best for the American people. The Liberty Solution proposes a bold rekindling of liberty for all, highlighting the various ways that federal, state, and local governments usurp the natural rights belonging to every individual. Using both historical evidence and news stories of today, Wills presents his case of grievances against the state.

Excellent, Approachable Ancap Primer
Revisado: 03-30-24
The book was great! Derek does a great job covering a bit of everything. The points made in the book are easy to follow and well-reasoned. Even if you don’t agree with a particular conclusion he draws in the book, the way he frames the topics makes it easy to compare your own line of logic with his. You don’t have to be a raging anarchist to get a lot out of it, but you’ll probably be closer to a raging anarchist at the end than you were when you started!

Historia
Enough Already: Time to End the War on Terrorism is a masterly history of these chaotic, tragic and above all futile conflicts, ranging with his usual excoriating accuracy from Mali to Pakistan, from Iraq to Yemen by way of Syria and Libya. Millions are dead, disabled or languish desperately far from their homes as the direct result of our blunders, bewilderment and outright malicious stupidity.

Mind blowing
Revisado: 12-19-22
It doesn’t matter how cynical you think you are about foreign affairs - this book will astound you. I gave up on neocon interventionism years ago but still, Scott Horton shocked and amazed me with the degree of absolute madness behind our “War on Terror”.
And if you’re someone who likes believing corporate media armchair generals and operates under the delusion that we’re not ruled by war criminals, buckle up, this book is going to be a bumpy ride.
No one could read this better than Scott himself. His tone of disgust and incredulity perfectly matches the depths of insanity of the subject matter.
