Historia
Dalinar Kholin challenged the evil god Odium to a contest of champions with the future of Roshar on the line. The Knights Radiant have only ten days to prepare—and the sudden ascension of the crafty and ruthless Taravangian to take Odium’s place has thrown everything into disarray. Desperate fighting continues simultaneously worldwide—Adolin in Azir, Sigzil and Venli at the Shattered Plains, and Jasnah in Thaylenah. The former assassin, Szeth, must cleanse his homeland of Shinovar from the dark influence of the Unmade.

Brandon gone woke
Revisado: 01-03-25
Terrible. OK first 20 hours was great. Caladan and zeth storyline was still solid. Then went into a 30 hour boring dive into the spiritual world. While not being able to understand what world we were in we had the Disney required interspecies broke back mountain going. My favorite series down the hollywood drain. Series is over like after Mistborn 4,5,6

Historia
Of the five contenders for power, one is dead, another in disfavor, and still the wars rage. Joffrey sits on the Iron Throne, the uneasy ruler of the Seven Kingdoms. His most bitter rival, Lord Stannis, stands defeated and disgraced, victim of the sorceress who holds him in her thrall. Young Robb still rules the North from the fortress of Riverrun. Meanwhile, making her way across a blood-drenched continent is the exiled queen, Daenerys, mistress of the only three dragons left in the world.

Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

I really enjoyed this book
Revisado: 08-09-22
I loved this book. It is very well written and by the end of the book it has the rest of the series really well set up. I have never seen the game of thrones series so I don't know what is coming up but I can tell why the series was so popular. Can't wait for book2

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

I loved this book. it started real slow like most 1st books, but once the story lines were established it turned into a great story with good characters. Can't wait to start the next book.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

Boring
Revisado: 01-19-22
I thought this dragged on way to long. Nothing really happened in the entire book. Every book in the series after book 6 lacks any action. Sruggling to finish the series at this point.

Worst of the series so far
Revisado: 12-30-21
I did not love this book. I thought the first 7 where amazing. this one is all over the place and has a very anticlimactic ending. I like the books with alot of Matt and this one treated Matt like the first Becky in Roseanne. hope the next one is better because the 7 books are very good.

“This is a story about an idea that I have,” Americana legend and self-proclaimed “recovering folk singer” Steve Earle states early in his enthralling Words + Music performance. “This job of mine becomes an artform spontaneously in 1965 - when Bob Dylan wants to be John Lennon, and John Lennon wants to be Bob Dylan, whether either one of them would admit it or not - and in that moment, rock and roll becomes art."

very good stuff
Revisado: 11-18-21
I thought this would just be real old country stuff. However, this was a surprise treat about how a folk artist transformed over a lifetime. He has a real talent for teeling a story and he made it big in my favorite time of music with Hendricks and Lennon and beetles.

Historia
When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity. Cloning, feel-good drugs, anti-aging programs, and total social control through politics, programming, and media: has Aldous Huxley accurately predicted our future? With a storyteller's genius, he weaves these ethical controversies in a compelling narrative that dawns in the year 632 A.F. (After Ford, the deity). When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity.

pretty good
Revisado: 11-18-21
It is a pretty good story about how authoritarian rulers think. Thought it was a little to dramatically read. The ending just seems weird to me.
