The best character progression story out there. I've read most and appreciate the slow methodical growth as apposed to some stupid exception give the protagonist grossly overpowered abilities almost instantly. The reader is my favorite as well. I just really loved everything about this story

Each books ending sucks. they suddenly stop mid-journey

I know that the author intended it to be a cliff hanger, but its really just more of an agitation. Each book is wholly incomplete. The sudden stood in the story is more irritating than compelling. it like a gimmick or manipulation. Otherwise, the book is decent

I Like Lit RPG, Aleron kind of bashes you over the head with stats though. I
To the point that it distracts significantly from the story. A book like, "Tree of Aeon" gets the balance perfect (my favorite LIT RPG book). This book is good, just cut the stats down by 70%. Another issue is Alerons tendency to over power his characters. Please ease up on the luck stats. IT takes away from the story when the characters are unfairly over powered. I still liked the story enough to give it a 4, so it's pretty good with the flaws and all.

This series had some really good sci-fi. NPC was excellent, the very strong religious theme of this story was a HUGE turn off. it didn't help that this was a poor, weak storyline that dragged from the beginning. this was so bad that I'm done with this series and possibly this author

The reader is horrible

The reader reads 90% of the characters with the same voice. it makes following the story impossible.
John Lee reads every book with this horrible accent which makes all of the stories sound like a 50's detective story. it's incredibly annoying, when the story is syfy or any other genre.

Boring, slow, unimaginative

I've been a fan, but I think that he's lost something. Normally, I love his story but just hate his endings. This book started off Ok/"meh" then just got slower and more laborious. in the end I just hated it
