Noah Brown has a gift for fighting. Unfortunately, punching things doesn't pay the bills, at least until he died and an Eldritch god found his soul. The encounter brings him to a new world, summoned by bloody cultists. He's got nothing but the shirt on his back and a strange item in his system menu.

Interesting, but that LISP!
Revisado: 07-11-24
It's an interesting story so far, I'm about 6 chapters in. I'm not hating it. But it's very difficult to get into because of the narrator's lisp, it comes and goes often, and when it hits I can't help but wonder when Kha'Mun'Rah started narrating books. It makes it sound like the characters are children rather than adults.

Great story, narrator needs work
Revisado: 04-16-24
So far I am loving this story period. It's very entertaining in the level progression and the abilities which the main character gains. However the narrator in this one is very different compared to the narrator in the first one. This narrator is very very monotoned and has the same voice for every character, it's rather annoying

Interesting But Could Be Better
Revisado: 06-10-23
it's an interesting idea for a story, but all advertisements I've seen for it say it's like pokémon meets magic, which isn't true at all. It's more like wizards and their familiars, which is still kind of fun.
It's an interesting idea for a story, requiring a magical creature in order to wield magic. Though it feels like it's missing something.
As for the performance, the narrator seems so monotone. He uses almost the same voice for every character, it's difficult to tell which character is talking. I'll be 100% honest, I've fallen asleep SEVERAL times while listening and have had to rewind to listen to what I missed. The narrator sounds so bored, which is ruining the book for me.

Difficult Listen
Revisado: 03-21-23
I'm having a very hard time with this one. It feels like the writer really wanted the MC to become very powerful very quickly, as if wanting the MC to have the best life. If I'm being honest, I can't say I'm losing interest in the book, because chapter 1 never really grabbed me in the first place.
EARLY SPOILERS:
The MC starts out at a higher level than you'll see in most books. He's over level 15 with a little griffin pet that he talks to, and carries a poison that can kill anything level 20 or higher. I found it rather pathetic that he kills a level 40+ "Hero" and gains their "power", and suddenly he's climbing levels extremely rapidly just by talking with people. I'm on chapter 8 and he's already reached Hero rank and level 25. I think that's a pretty drastic start. Everything just seems to fall into place for him, power practically throwing itself at his feet. He barely does anything and gets a crazy reward for it. He's already captain and has his own crew and ship that just happens to become a "3 star" legendary item. He started OP and is just getting more OP by the chapter.
LitRPGs are more entraining for me when the characters have to start from ground 0, level 1, and learn how to grow and survive. The story idea is there, the concept is fun with putting Greek into a "litRPG", but it doesn't really carry the UMPH that most other litRPGs do.

What if life as we know it was just a game? What if instead of traditional schools, children learned by participating in a virtual reality simulation, one that allowed them to experience "life" from birth to death - multiple times? What if one player, on his final play, could change the world forever?

Why Not?
Revisado: 12-27-22
This book was amazingly interesting.
The narrator wasn't too great, but did a decent job.
As for the book itself, at lot of it is so mind blowing to think about, and much more of it I've been stating for years.
Why can't we be in a simulation right now? It would make so much sense and explain so many odd phenomenons that happen in the world. Just the other day I took a picture of the overcast sky with a Jetstream trail below it. The cloud trail was below the overcast clouds, yet it still cast a shadow on the clouds above it somehow. Many people show videos about things that aren't possible, a shadow that shouldn't exist, a plane that doesn't seem to be moving, and more.
Why can't we be in a simulation? The Matrix claims this and states that our minds can't tell the difference, just like this book. People also show incredible capabilities and abilities.
It just makes sense.
Though this book isn't up my usual ally of interests, I'm intrigued to listen to the others.

Maximo Strident, war veteran and member of local law enforcement, never wanted to enter the dungeon. With promises of wealth beyond his imagination, his squad mates managed to convince him. Max isn’t a Knight, so he has no magical equipment or spells that could help him against monsters. What he does have, however, are the sword forms he learnt at the Blade Academy. These forms are formidable martial arts that make him the match of Level 0 monsters. But Level 99 monsters? He doesn’t stand a chance.

Some Errors but Great
Revisado: 12-22-22
So far I'm enjoying the book very much, it's interesting to see someone who has been around people with levels for so long, become introduced to it themselves and have to learn years of info as fast as he can.
But, I am mostly wanting to say that there are moments when parts of the story is cut out, no doubt unintentionally. On a few occasions it's stated that a character said or asked something, but you completely miss the statement because it's not in the narration. It's nothing serious and you can easily guess what the person said, as it's usually a small sentence like "how many people are joining us?"
Other than that it's a great and exciting story.

Could've Been Better
Revisado: 12-19-22
SPOILERS;
Okay, this is definitely my most harsh review I've ever done. But I have NEVER lost interest in a book so fast.
The narrator is alright at doing voices, but has some practice to do. He's great at Scottish or Irish, but not much beyond that from what I've experienced so far.
The story itself.... I understand that the character is very naive when it comes to the world, as he's never experienced it before. But A LOT of the stuff is common sense. Aside from that, the narrator's voice for him is super annoying and young for 17 year old. You're also telling me that in his one year of traversing the outside world he's never come across another Dungeon, even though there are supposedly millions of dungeons out there.
It's also kind of annoying how many time jumps there are, and I'm only 10 chapters in. I want to go along with the character during his travels, not hear recollection about what happened, we know he survived, I want to be on the edge of not knowing what's going to happen to him, being in the moment with him. Also, it's exciting to hear when a character gets a new skill, not hearing that he's had these skills for over a year and never experimented with them. If I was the character and I had discovered I had a creation annoy, I would be experimenting every day, but he hasn't touched it except to create knives? Come on.
The writer also has the character a complete idiot. When a creature you created is telling you "you created me" and has told you that 3 times because you keep asking, WHY DO YOU KEEP ASKING? You know dungeon cores can create objects, traps, AND creatures. This creature has told you 3 times that you created it, why do you keep questioning it?
Now, a person that is a Dungeon core, that's a pretty cool idea. But that makes them so over powered when they can roam the world. Basically you're saying that the entire world is his Dungeon and he can do whatever he wants in it as long as he has the mana. Now you state that he can't die unless he takes severe damage, even his head could grow back if it's cut off? You didn't create a character fighting for his life, you create a God that will survive as long as he has the mana.

Due to unusual circumstances, Randidly starts in an isolated dungeon far beyond his level, forced to rely on the mysterious Traveler Shal in order to learn and survive with the dangerous new status quo for his world. But survive he does, only to leave the dungeon and discover that while he experienced several hellish months in the dungeon, only half a day passed on Earth. Randidly's capabilities are now more than enough to help build a small enclave of survivors, but that doesn't mean balancing his sense of responsibility against the plots of an unfriendly town will be easy.

Fun, But Overwhelming Stats
Revisado: 07-22-22
The story is fun and exciting, seeing someone go from desperately trying to survive a powerful Dungeon to being the strongest person around outside. It's an entertaining idea that someone can gain skills just by accomplishing certain tasks.
However, it is extremely overwhelming when we hear his stats every few minutes, especially when a full read out is done every few chapters. We understand that he is growing powerful quickly, but we don't need a constant reminder of his stats and skill ranks, eventually the read outs take up several unnecessary moments of a chapter, and in the end, of the entire book.
The story will be much more smooth if all skills and stats of the same levels are clumped up in descriptions rather than saying "blah level 5, blah level 16".
Cut down on the stats and skills descriptions and you'll hand more time for story building.

Writer is Repetitive
Revisado: 04-22-22
I have greatly enjoyed the story so far, and it has even given me inspiration for Dungeons and Dragons campaign. You can tell that the writer has put deep thought into how magic in this world works, and it's great.
However, the further into the series that I dive, I realize more and more just how similar this story is becoming more like a video game with a display feature that works exactly like in games.
But the biggest issue has to be how the writer repeats themselves WAY TOO MUCH when it comes to conversations.
Lana said. Jack said. Stan said. etc.
"Jack looked to the west. Lana raised her hand a pointed out a ridge to the west." rather than stating that Jack looked to the west, it should just be Lana pointing out the ridge instead. And when it comes to conversations, there are plenty of words that could be used in place of "said", like stated, answered, replied, suggested. Even when ending a paragraph of a new speaker. One should give a scentence, then state who was speaking, then continue the stated paragraph. It's a bit bothersome when you listen to an entire paragraph that just rambles on until it finally states who was speaking at the very end.
As I stated before, this happens often and only seems to happen moreso as the progresses.
Besides that, it's a fun and captivating story.
