Historia
A deputy sheriff was shot to death during a routine traffic stop on a dark country road. From what can been seen on the cruiser's video recorder of the killers, it is believed that they were a couple of Boston-based drug runners who had been on their way from Canada down to Boston. That's what brings Joe Gunther and his team to the investigation - an attempt to shut down the major drug running operation.

Narrator ruined the novel
Revisado: 01-21-24
Previous series narrator Tom Taylerson was missing from this outing. With the change in narrator, it really takes the reader out of the story. It was a struggle to finish. If it wasn’t an audible plus title, it would be a waste of a credit.

Historia
On the surface, the mountain town of Engelstatt, Austria is picture-perfect. It offers guests stunning views, fresh air, and the chance to experience an Alpine village untouched by time. For university student Jacob Liro, a school shooting survivor and aspiring artist, it is the perfect place to spend spring break with his classmates and a chance to hit the reset button on his life. What Jacob and his class don't know is that beneath its fairy-tale facade, something sinister lies in wait in the salt mines below the town.

Purchased with Cash, wish I would’ve used a credit
Revisado: 07-08-23
Imagine if someone watched Hostel and Texas Chainsaw Massacre too many times and decided to write a novel from a woke point of view. This is pretty much Englestatt. As a fan of horror, I’d suggest passing this one up. Waste of time.

Every time you watch baseball, you’re watching more than just a game - you’re participating in the latest chapter of a compelling story. What began as the earliest bat-and-ball games became the favorite American pastime of the first 19th-century baseball games. Knowing how baseball came to be what it is today will add levels of enjoyment, respect, and appreciation to any game you watch.

Life Long King Fan and this was the bottom of the Barrel
Revisado: 05-18-23
Let me start by saying Stephen King is my favorite author of all time. I’ve been reading him for almost 30 years and pick up his books whenever they come out. Billy Summers story was pretty bad, but it was made worse by the narration. The narrator was mono tone and dry. Honestly if anyone chose this as their first King novel they would probably never pick another one up.

Amazing. Hitchhikers Guide with Donald Trump playing an idiot
Revisado: 04-17-20
This was a freebie from Audible that I picked up thinking it would be something to just leave on in the background. I was wrong. It’s like hitchhikers guise to the universe, modernized and read by Adam Baldwin.

Just in time for Halloween
Revisado: 10-14-19
So I went into this listen not knowing what to expect. The first story reminded me of the 1991 movie The Willies, the narrator had that Young Sean Aston vibe to boot. The second story had a strong resemblance to the new Are you afraid of the dark? series. The first two stories were superb to say the least, the third story seemed to come up short. As if the author couldn’t quiet figure out how to hammer out the ending. The fourth story was ok. It wasn’t terrible, it was just kind of there. Top credit goes to the Narrator who with a grandiose voice strung together each segment with great skill.
