I really like this series...

This narration was a complete disappointment. The voices were totally distracting and made the listen unpleasant. I would recommend the series but not this audible rendition.

When I chose this book I had no idea what to expect. It is a heartbreaking rendering of the lives of mother and son. Behind the fame and the family fortune, great love and great loss lurks. I learned more than I expected to about Hollywood and one of America's first families. It was an intimate portrayal of their lives through interviews (Gloria) and interviewer (Anderson). I enjoyed it and I remember Vanderbilt jeans. Audible20

I love anything Tom Hanks

The stories were beautifully rendered and nostalgic with a hint of magic realism. It is really special when an author reads their own work. Hanks conjures up the past and future with wit and humor and humanity. Was it the best short story collection I have ever read? No, but it is the only one by Tom Hanks.
