Historia
Life in a small town can be tough. It can be even tougher when you're a witch whose magic regularly backfires. But Summer Thorne only wants one thing: to create the perfect sanctuary for unwanted animals. Nothing and no one is going to stop her. Not even the sexy sheriff who is determined to shut down her rescue center. And certainly not the laboratory where she illegally obtained her mischievous chimpanzee, Morty. Sheriff Cooper Carlyle has one goal: to keep his town safe. That includes his stubborn neighbor, Summer, whether she wants him to or not.

Men acting badly
Revisado: 04-25-25
I like the premise of the story but the main characters Summer and Coop are not fun for me to read about. If someone treated you badly for 11 years why would you be romantically interested in them? One minute he is berating Summer and making her feel horrible, the next he is kissing her and she is liking it. I guess I am not into verbal abuse. On the premise that they are fated to be together, ummm again how do you have the hots for a relationship like that. So not the book for me.

Interesting Story
Revisado: 03-10-25
The story is good though not a romance I like. I don't care for falling in lust with someone who has made it clear over and over that if you are no longer useful they will kill you. That just doesn't make sense to me no matter what trauma bond you build. It is a wearwolf story so you expect it to be rough, but the writer makes it hard to like the pack. Yes, I feel the small friendships trying to be built but the only emotion the pack seems to show is anger and contempt. I like to feel a bond with the characters and so far I don't care if any of them die. If you like fighting and lots of testosteron with a hint of emotion this is for you. If you like your heroine to be attracted to a man who treats her badly by having no care for her at all this is for you. I am only at book 2 maybe it will get better but so far it doesn't look promising. The narrator is good but you can hear where they have edited certain parts because the vice sounds different, like she had a cold and did the job anyway which is admirable but not fun to listen to. I can hear her swallowing alot because of her cold or whatever the issue is. Last the use of words in the story that nobody uses is not my cup of tea either, I don't like having to look up a word in the middle of a story because the author wanted to be fancy. You will know what I mean when you read or hear the book. All in all an okay read just be aware it's a story of a rescued woman who gets told constantly they only did it for their own reasons not because they care about what's right.

Whether it's fast cars or fast women, Stefano Ferraro gets what he wants. When he's not fodder for the paparazzi, he commands Ferraro family businesses - both legitimate and illegitimate. While their criminal activity is simply a rumor yet to be proven, no one knows the real truth. The Ferraros are a family of shadow riders capable of manipulating light and dark, an ability Stefano thought ran in his family alone - until now.

An Obsessed Man, Bossing the Heroine Around.
Revisado: 12-06-24
This book is for you if you like your man to be bossy, obsessed and not even let you go to the restroom without him.
The story takes forever to happen because of all the bossing around and sex. Obviously not my cup of tea mainly because the man keeps saying he protects women yet he treats his woman like a child when he is not having sex with her and never explains himself.

Love the Magic
Revisado: 09-01-24
The story is good, but predictable. I have a hard time understanding the logic of the main character. I mean who takes food to people if they are accused of poisoning someone! Also, she has an annoying habit of leaving out important information when talking about her investigations to her boyfriend the cop. The story is an easy listen because the narrator is great, but the story falls short on logic and common sense to me. Obviously I am still listening after 3 books but it would be awsome if she got smarter.

When Finlay Ashowan joins the staff of the King and Queen of Daxaria, he’s an enigma. No one knows where he comes from or how he came to be where he is, which suits Fin just fine. He’s satisfied simply serving as the royal cook, keeping nosy passersby out of his kitchen, and concocting some truly uncanny meals. But Fin’s secret identity doesn’t stay hidden for long. After all, it’s not every day a house witch and his kitten familiar, Kraken, take to meddling in imperial affairs.

I loved the story, the cook is awsome! It has conflict but still manages to be a fun story. You never really get upset over the conflict because the cook manages to handle things well. Overall you won't regret listening to this series.

I loved the talking plants, the story was good but centered a lot on the main characters internal struggle. The story is fluff but is enjoyable enough.

Historia
Once upon a time, in the magical land of San Francisco, there lived a not-so-ordinary girl named Laurel Pettigrew. She was supposed to be the Chosen One. The plan was simple: She would vanquish the great evil Tybus in an epic battle. But destiny had other ideas, and Laurel's performance in the whole heroics department was a colossal flop. Now, instead of being a legendary hero, Laurel's the resident pariah of the magic realm. And what’s worse, the dark wizard Tybus swooped in, took over the realm, and forced all supernatural creatures to live under his tyrannical rule.

Good Story and Narrator!
Revisado: 10-10-21
I enjoyed the story but feel Joey is too harsh most of the time. Once you keep listening you start to understand why and realize the author could have put more details about her love interest. I still enjoyed the story and recommend reading it. I really loved the narrator she made the story fun to listen too and I am very picky about narrator's. I will be finding more books she narrates.

Historia
Del Sol, New Mexico is known for three things: its fry-an-egg-on-the-cement summers, its strong cups of coffee - and, now, a nationwide manhunt? Del Sol native Sunshine Vicram has returned to town as the elected sheriff - thanks to her adorably meddlesome parents who nominated her - and she expects her biggest crime wave to involve an elderly flasher named Doug. But a teenage girl is missing, a kidnapper is on the loose, and all of this is reminding Sunshine why she left Del Sol in the first place.
