Historia
Sometimes, we fall in love on mission trips even though we know we’ll break up when we get back. Sometimes, you think, “I wish I had a T-shirt that said ‘I direct deposit my tithe’ so people wouldn’t judge me.” Sometimes, the stuff that comes with faith is funny. This is that stuff. Jonathan Acuff’s Stuff Christians Like is your field guide to all things Christian. You’ll learn the culinary magic of the crock-pot. Think you’ve got a Metro worship leader? Use Acuff’s checklist. Want to avoid a prayer handholding faux pas? Acuff has you covered.

love the author, book not for me

I'm an atheist, and having been raised Christian, thought I would enjoy this more than I did. It's definitely intended for a Christian audience. I'll stick with all of Acuff's other stuff!

Historia
There's an 80 percent chance you're poor. Time poor, that is. Four out of five adults report feeling that they have too much to do and not enough time to do it. These time-poor people experience less joy each day. They laugh less. They are less healthy, less productive, and more likely to divorce. In one study, time stress produced a stronger negative effect on happiness than unemployment. How can we escape the time traps that make us feel this way and keep us from living our best lives?

Good content, didn't enjoy reader
Revisado: 06-26-23
I had a hard time with this, and I think it was as I had a hard time with the reader and feeling connected. It felt dry, which doesn't fit such a personal, life-altering content. It lacked enthusiasm. I've read Happier Hour and would recommend that for listeners instead.

Historia
Rich Dad Poor Dad is Robert's story of growing up with two dads - his real father and the father of his best friend, his rich dad - and the ways in which both men shaped his thoughts about money and investing. The book explodes the myth that you need to earn a high income to be rich and explains the difference between working for money and having your money work for you. In the 20th anniversary edition of this classic, Robert offers an update on what we’ve seen over the past 20 years related to money, investing, and the global economy.

Disappointing
Revisado: 09-19-21
I've wanted to read this book for about a decade and finally bought it with library hold times being so long. I didn't end up finishing it. Kiyosaki comes across as arrogant, and the material was dry and redundant. He advises being far more aggressive than one reasonably should or could with their money. Nice that it's worked for him, but I don't think his advice, aside from super basic concepts like assets and liabilities, is appropriate for most readers of his book.
