Historia
In Medalon, Book One of the Hythrun Chronicles, Tarja Tenragen and his half-sister R'shiel were forced to lead a rebellion against their power hungry mother, who ruled Medalon as the First Sister of the Blade. But their mother's defeat came at great cost: not only does it leave Medalon vulnerable to invasion, R'shiel is mortally wounded. As Treason Keep begins, R'shiel is on the brink of death. Her only hope is the healing powers of the Harshini - magical beings long thought extinct. Even they will be hard-pressed to save the Demon Child of prophecy...

Another Mary Sue story
Revisado: 02-26-25
Too much convoluted political intrigue, needless hook ups and romance that adds no value. Rasheel is just another Mary Sue born into her powers because, well reasons an stuff. Kinda boring and some of the characters are insufferably unlikable, okay most of them.

misled by Audible
Revisado: 05-21-24
This is not next in the series after Goldenhand, it's a collection of short stories of which only one deals with the Old Kingdom. wouldn't have wasted a credit had I known, should have read the other reviews first.

Historia
My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me. So begins a tale told from his own point of view - a story unequaled in fantasy literature. Now in The Wise Man’s Fear, Day Two of The Kingkiller Chronicle, Kvothe takes his first steps on the path of the hero and learns how difficult life can be when a man becomes a legend in his own time.

The performance is good , the story is bleghh,. Denna is just the worst, Kvothe is insufferable, did we really need the Fairy s e x dungeon chapters and the horny red shirt ninjas? Liked the first book, this one not so much.

It's getting kinda bad
Revisado: 01-06-23
Maerad and Hem are both Mary Sue's, most of the characters are kind of annoying. For a series that revolves around music it seems the author knows very little about music or writing songs. the songs are dreadful.

Historia
In 3001: The Final Odyssey, Arthur C. Clarke brings the greatest and most successful science fiction series of all time to its magnificent, stunningly unforeseen conclusion. As we hurtle toward the new millennium in real time, Clarke brilliantly - daringly - leaps 1,000 years into the future to reveal a truth we are only now capable of comprehending. An epic masterpiece at once dazzlingly imaginative and grounded in scientific actuality, 3001 is a story that only Arthur C. Clarke could tell.

Good story lackluster performance
Revisado: 03-07-21
I read the book years ago and like it a lot. The story has lost no charm with the telling but at times the performance dialogue is way overdone. All the passages with singing are flatly terrible, hire a story teller who can carry a tune if there is singing involved.
