Historia
You probably would agree that the four weeks leading up to Christmas are a special time of year. For Christians this is a period of preparation. Many Christians call these four weeks 'Advent' and they prepare themselves for the celebration of Jesus' birth. The word 'Advent' comes from the Latin 'adveneo', meaning 'to come to' and refers to Jesus' coming into the world at Christmas.

Excellent explanation- brief but informative, listened with my 5 and 8 year old during our unit study of Christmas Around the World.

How do you move on after losing the person you loved? How do you build a life worth living? Louisa Clark is no longer just an ordinary girl living an ordinary life. After the transformative six months spent with Will Traynor, she is struggling without him. When an extraordinary accident forces Lou to return home to her family, she can’t help but feel she’s right back where she started. Her body heals, but Lou herself knows that she needs to be kick-started back to life. Which is how she ends up in a church basement with the members of the Moving On support group.

I was captivated enough to continue listening.
Revisado: 01-11-17
I've been on an early chapter unlucky listener kick. I'd started 2 before this and bailed quite early due to uninteresting subject and plot expansion. I honestly had no real expectations for this book but I had put it on my wish list a long time ago and did not feel I had a lot to lose. I enjoyed Me Before You despite it being a quote controversial topic and I believe that I did not get caught up in my conflicted feelings on the issue because I was focused and surprisingly captivated in the character of Louisa Clark. I first listened to Me Before You several years ago and I was pleased to find myself again entertained by the quirky and relatable personal traits of her character, paired with the mundaity of her economic, familial and relational responsibilities , often set amidst intense, and extraordinary circumstances. No spoilers here, but the plot will take a few twists and you will find yourself torn between what you are hoping for the outcome of her character. I believe this book provides a coming together of sorts for the characters in the first book. I think that if you enjoyed the first book, you will likely be pleased with this one as well. Happy Listening!!!
