I've listened to all of Jennifer Alsever's Trinity Forrest series, and this is my favorite of the three. The story line is more focused, and the pace drives nicely. No villains are true villains and no heroes are true heroes. Every character has demons and drives. I was very satisfied with how everything got wrapped up. My only complaint is that Ember doesn't sing in this book; I hope she hasn't lost her passion for music after coming back from Oshun. Would absolutely recommend for lovers of paranormal YA.

In this squeal you jump between narrators, so it's not just Embers point of view you get. Parallel story lines roll along crossing and meeting quite beautifully, all with the undertone of magic and mystery. Would recommend this series to any lover of the young adult genre.

Sometimes, you just get sent something truly wonderful. Or lots of things, actually. Last year, I was a dealer in Vegas, and I helped to bail my best friend out of trouble. Poor Alex! During the time of his hardship, I thankfully met Bell, for the very first time. With all the money Alex won from the deal...he let us have a fun holiday together, in sunny Jamaica, before telling us about his awesome plans in Vegas! We've gotten to know each other really well. Intimately, I guess you could say.

Who was your favorite character and why?
Trey is my favorite character. I think he is the most selfless character in the story. Ember gets on my nerves a little sometimes. She's so book smart, but she can also be so stupid sometimes.
What about Moira Todd’s performance did you like?
I thought her dry comedy fit in Embers voice very well
Any additional comments?
It really is a page turner. The mystery has you guessing until the end. There is romance, but it's not a romance book. Not only that, but it digs into some tough subject matter that many teens struggle with. I want to hear book two to find out what happens!
