Peterson has some real insights into the Bible in which Christians would wholeheartedly agree. His respect for the complexity, artistry, and in truth of the Bible really does credit to God‘s work himself. There are parts where I feel like Jesus is really just reduced to some kind of a symbol or a myth where he was a living breathing man who did the things he said he was going to do. But Peterson does not speak from a Christian perspective so it’s understandable. I do feel like God is using him even if Christian listeners do you need to be aware of his perspective.

A painful journey

Even if you are a progressively minded reader who supports climate change legislation, you will find the ham fisted political grandstanding painful.

While I think there was an effort to make the characters multidimensional, they all flash with an arrogance the author can’t overwrite. The author can’t seem to go two pages without making sure we all know he’s on the ‘right’ side of history.

It was too much scolding for me even though I agree on the big stuff.

On Point does a wonderful job of discussing truly difficult topics here. She shows a mix of representative family experiences and hold high standards of her guests.

Surprising new insights

I have seen Johnathan height speak many times, so I was surprised to learn so much still from this book. As the mother of a tween, this is a very pressing issue for me. I hope other parents will get on board as I see already so many of my son’s 11-year-old friends getting smart phones.

I scored the performance lower really for just one reason. The voice actor was fine and had a good voice and pace. I don’t know why it bothered me that they never corrected his pronunciation of “Bable“ since it’s the name of the authors organization I thought that would be something they should address.

I think every generation of parents is doomed overcorrect for the generation before. This book is thought-provoking and can breed new confidence in parents to raise their kids and not be afraid to share values.

I could hardly believe this was written and n 1942. It felt like it was written for our time and reached across 80+ years to speak to today’s pressing problems.

Balanced and insightful

Listening to it I found things that made me bristle right next to things that made me fist bump in the air. On these issues if it pisses everybody off a little bit, it’s probably pretty accurate. It focuses, mainly on large financial sectors, including our general stock market And the way the modern American Hospital system functions.

Engaging and heartfelt

Enjoyed this audio book. Stan Lees knack for creating the flaw. Superhero is still unmatched. The narrator is wonderful and I could listen to her voice all day Stanley’s partner cat Rosenfield also did a great job. It’s a great story that blends technology with modern romance.

She said I was not invited

I hope this helps those who were invited. The author said it was not made for me based on my skin color and my position relative to LGBTQIA plus. Since I am not part of these historically marginalized communities it is clear that this book was not written for me so I decided not to listen to it. I rated it based on the first chapter before she spelled out these things. Good luck in your entrepreneurial journey.
