great story

keeps getting better. the author and voice actor give this series true life. which is hard to find in most audiobooks these days.

boring story

I can not recommend this book. made it halfway and said enough. Literal 4 hours of talking about how chi works in a fantasy world. while the main characters wards are kidnapped and he decides to take 3 years to go after them. the story is so lame and there is no character development but if you like this type. go for it

boring at times

have listened to the first 4 books. while the ideal is good. the author bores you with endless technical jargon that does little to promote the story. in fact it Boggs down the story considerably. example in the middle of battle the tactic officers gives you 20 minutes of listening time to explain how the weapon works and its relationship to supposed real world war events in the past

so I cannot recommend this story line

twilight RIP off

if you have read the first twilight book. You can clearly see where the author borrowed heavily from twilight. In fact at times the author skates a close line of almost copying select settings from twilight.

But I will give the author credit in dropping more F bombs in the first half of the book than any other book I have ever listened too.

Also I will give the author credit for everyone being perfect no pimples people in her story.

Also to the author's credit the sex scenes. well let's just say lame and really did nothing for the story. In fact they could have been left out. Maybe it was the author wish to have something like that in real life.

but over all the story was just so so.

This is probably one of the worst stories I have ever heard. The first 3 hours of the book literal have nothing to move the story along and could have been removed to make the story shorter. How many times in the first 5 hours do you have to remark about Harry Potter this or that. The characters are so one dimensional that it's just sad.

I am really disappointed and cannot believe that there are other audiobook books in this series. Maybe they get better but struggling though 6 hours of the book praying the character would die to give some meaning as too why audible or any audiobook company would ever record this is just beyond the realms of reason.

false information

picked up this book form audible. States that it's book 1. In reality book 4 in a series It is book 1 in the next series arch. Would have been nice if there had been something to state that. The story leaves the listener confused by half information from the previous three books. so only reader's of the series would understand the flow of the book.

bad recording and story

this is a terrible audio recording. everyone sounds like the are talking into a can. story is very bad also. don't know why they wasted money making this.

the performance was terrible. The Writer of the story must have never played mmo's. the main character in the story was made to be like 8 year old kids in his actions. just overall a very week story

was refreshing to have a story where the main character was not 14 to 21 years of age. while the character needs development. that is because the author has not experienced old age. but I hope to see this character develop in the series.
