good bones and writing but not for me.

usually dont write reviews. liked the story a lot hut too much inner monologue and the main character is just constantly getting his butt kicked. He doesn't have to be OP but half the book is him getting pummeled with no cathartic retribution. lame

Yeah, I don't need my protagonists to be overpowered. They don't need to be "ALPHA" but out right cowardice is just super uninteresting. You don't have to be super tough. Be clever, be brave, be resourceful. This protagonist is none of those things.

I always believed in what I could see. Sure I was raised in one of those Christian non-denominational churches by my parents and a very strict Mimi, but my beliefs were not exactly solid. That all changed when I found myself rocketing through the cosmos after hitting an ambush while on patrol in the sandbox. I landed in a magic circle made by an Archmage bent on world domination. Spoiler alert, Fantasy Hitler isn't bulletproof!

Seriously this was a fun read. Great Isekai similar to " The Gate". I seriously can not get enough of this genre and this was wonderful listen.
