Historia
During World War II, a group of American fighter pilots roamed the skies over China and Burma, menacing the Japanese war effort without letup. Flamboyant, daring, and courageous, they were called the Flying Tigers. The Tigers - who had been recruited from the Army, Navy, and Marines - first saw action as a volunteer group fighting on the side of the Chiang Kai-shek's China against Japan. Trained in the unconventional air-combat tactics of their maverick leader Claire Lee Chennault, they racked up some of the most impressive air victory records of World War II.

Good for overall view of AVG
Revisado: 05-23-23
I enjoyed this reading for an overall view of the AVG flying tigers. There may be some in correctness regarding the Japanese airplane Zero but it does not detract from the whole idea of the AVG and how it helped to preserve a CHINA at the time most needed.

Historia
Requiem for Battleship Yamato is Yoshida Mitsuru's story of his own experience as a junior naval officer aboard the fabled Japanese battleship as it set out on a last, desperate sortie in April 1945. Yoshida was on the bridge during Yamato's fatal encounter with American airplanes, and his eloquent, moving account of that battle makes a singular contribution to the literature of the Pacific war. The book has long been considered a classic in both Japan and the United States.

Nice piece of history
Revisado: 08-02-18
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of listening to a Japanese point of view the biggest disappointment was a British voice telling the story overall it was very engaging with a lot of detail
