This book makes so much sense and is as scientifically accurate (and skeptical) as it can be. Besides, Daniel Lieberman is a great writer!

This book is synthetic and essential for any modern psychotherapist. Should have been published centuries ago! XD

This book covers a lot about DBT and it’s theoretical underpinnings. It may be a little too much for laypeople, on extent and complexity but I think that’s necessary because the therapeutic model in itself is robust.

Though sometimes boring in the length and detail of the anecdotes. It is a very humorous portrayal of the cultural and political absurd of the war. The book and the narrator made me smile, laugh and giggle when I expect it the least. Totally recommended in audio format!

A great and concise introduction of The Socratic Method without the need of reading all de dialogues!

This program now has evidence for preventing relapse in major depression. Mindfulness is an essential skill in developing emotion regulation skills and it has been implemented in other formal psychotherapeutic programs like DBT and ACT.
I think it will be useful if you already are stable on medication and want to try tapering it off.

I think the course includes a lot of useful principles for psychotherapy and wellbeing training. It pretty up to date too.

I’m no expert, but the speaker makes pretty compelling points for taking care of your digital privacy and gives interesting examples. The short duration makes me wonder whether there is more to it, but as I said, I’m not an expert.

The author's narration is acceptable if not good. The editing of the audiobook seems sloppy at the best, because the naming of the chapters does not coincide with the content of the original book. It's like the editors pasted a lot of sparse audioclips.

For me, this audiobook is not worth one credit or more than $10, that is why I decided to return it.

I don’t normally request a refund, because I value the time and effort of the authors, but this book clearly deserves it.

I think the premise of the book is interesting but Sonya Rhodes executes it dismayingly.
The concept of Alpha, Beta and Omega people is somewhat practical, but it can be seen in terms of other mor valid personality traits and disorders (like the Big Five or other temperamental traits), Rhodes NEVER mentions any of this in this book, or any meaningful contribution by any other author or researcher. In my opinion, this omission is not justified by the brevity or layperson scope of the book. It seems that she intends that the reader/listener just accepts overtly made-up concepts like the “Fifty Shades of Grey syndrome” or “relationship claustrophobia”.
When the aforementioned concepts appeared I just wanted to put this book to rest, I only continued to listen to it with the hope of finding something more interesting, but I just wasted my time.

The part where she narrates vignettes from her clinical practice, she just gives mostly unobjectionable but also obvious advice. I liked by far more feminism focused books by other authors like Burnout by the Nagoski sisters or by Lori Gottlieb.
