Great Storyline!
Revisado: 09-13-16
The book felt a little disorganized. I was disappointed, because with that great storyline it should have been one of my DS favorites. I actually would have enjoyed separate books about each set of characters, or it could have been longer to better accommodate the individual stories of the characters. Also I would have loved to have more rescue drama and excitement about the storm and flood, it seemed rather tame for a hurricane. The narrator was fantastic and what was there was enjoyable, I just thought it could have been so much more and I felt let down. I'll try listening again, maybe I was in the wrong frame of mind. It is, worth a listen!

Didn't Work for Me
Revisado: 07-11-14
I thought the story line was interesting, but I couldn't get past the repetition of hearing "Beth to Jennifer" and Jennifer to Beth" over and over again. The narrator did do a nice job of narrating though all of that back and forth dialog.
While it's entirely possible that this book would be great if read instead of listened to, I was to irritated to listen to more than a few chapters and didn't finish it.

Creepy Ghost Mystery
Revisado: 01-10-14
Victoria Laurie, has another winner! Funny, charming, witty and one SCARY demon make for a fantastic story. Narration was flawless and added to my enjoyment of the listening experience. The only bad thing is now we have to wait for the next book, so sad about that! Oh well, these books are great to hear over and over, so I can always start at the beginning and listen to them all again. Thanks VL, LOVED it!

Revisado: 07-09-13
It's scary how much this story could be happening, right now! I happened upon Season of the Harvest by accident and I'm SO GLAD I found it. This very believable book has it all, great narration, characters, suspense, terror, mystery and romance. Can't wait to read the second book. I wish audible would add it to their library, but I bought the Kindle version just in case they don't : ) LOVED IT!

Was expecting more. . .
Revisado: 07-09-13
I'm a big fan of both authors and was hoping for better characters, more laughs and a more memorable story. It wasn't terrible, but for the most part largely forgettable. I don't feel that I wasted my time listening to it, but it's not a book I'd read twice.

Stop and Smell the New Mown Hay!
Revisado: 02-15-13
This story was a great getaway!
Usually I can guess the way a story will go, but this one offered up some surprises.
I really like that. The main characters were well developed and likeable, or easy hate, depending on their particular role. A host of suspicious ranch accidents, created constant money problems for Molly's struggling Grandfather.
Molly and Sam, were corralled into a relationship, by her Grandfather, in order to save the ranch. Both of them, were recovering from past errors. . . financial, relationship and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. They would need to overcome fear of failure, and distrust of each other, to find laughs, love and a new life in Sweetgrass, Montana.

Twilight Zone meets X-Files-Page Turner!
Revisado: 09-04-12
In the same tradition of a Twilight Zone meets X-Files story, secret service agent Ethan Burke goes to Wayward Pines, Idaho, his mission is to locate and recover two federal agents who went missing.
He wakes up next to a stream, in a black suit and white shirt speckled with blood stains. No wallet. No money. No ID. No keys. No phone. That's all I'll say, don't want to spoil the story.
On every page, I kept trying to guess what would happen next, to no avail, and then the ending completely blew my mind!
Blake's vivid descriptions, constant action, thrills, mystery and intrigue, reminded me of my favorite books by Stephen King and Dean Koontz.
Intense and gripping, Pines is a masterpiece that had me thinking about the story, long after turning the last page.
I read this book on Kindle and enjoyed it so much I wanted to get the Audio version to pass the time while on the road. LOVED the narration of Paul Michael Garcia, it was perfect and made the book even more enjoyable. Brilliant!

Revisado: 07-18-12
I must first admit, I didn't really read enough of the book description before reading/listening it. I thought it was a self-help on organizing and de-cluttering. So imagine my very PLEASANT surprise to find a charming, witty story, wrapped around a reclusive, elderly, artist with a hoarding problem. LOVED this book and as a FANTASTIC side effect, it's inspired me to clear out all my old crap too! Jill is a new author to me, but I intend to read all her other books and will be the first in line to read a sequel or anything else she publishes! Great job narrating by Xe Sands too!
