I enjoyed the narrator and the differing voices she used. Of course, I didn't care for the mean girl, but there always IS a bully, no matter the circumstances, but especially within today's children. At the end, the mean girl was finally 'put in her place' by just using words...NICE words.

A MUST READ WITH A SHOCKING ENDING

First, I rarely leave reviews but I felt I needed to write this one. OMG, I LOVED this book. Before I buy anything from Audio, I listen to the sample first. The sample in this book grabbed me from the beginning, and I purchased it immediately. I also believe in the importance of how well a narrator sounds while reading the words, and this narrator did an excellent performance. This novel has many characters, and she performs each with precision and different characterization.

I usually don't listen to a complete novel without changing from one to another in my library. With this particular novel, I couldn't wait to finish it to see how it would end. I was surprised at the ending, but the author tied all the characters in a pretty little bow, for a perfect ending. I would highly recommend for others to check out this novel. I KNOW you won't be let down or not like it (hopefully).

A short story that will keep you guessing until the very end. I was literally shocked at the ending. The narrator also did an excellent job. Would highly recommend this. You won't be disappointed.

MY VERY FIRST PODCAST & I LOVED IT!

First of all, I loved the music that was played at the beginning. Some people didn't care for the audio, either the volume was too loud, or there were too many sounds. I think all of the sounds, from the pouring of a drink, to the breaths taken by the main character added to the perfect totality of this audiobook. Jessica outdid her performance. To be an actress isn't easy. But just think how hard it is to either stand there (or sit), read the words in front of you, then give action to the words you are reading. In today's society, whenever 'aliens' are mentioned, people everywhere, from all walks of life, have differing ideas on the subject. This is my very FIRST Podcast that I've listened to, but it won't be my last.. Me, like others, are hoping that this story will continue. I LOVED it!!

I'll Never Look At Animals The Same Way Again

First of all, I absolutely LOVED this story. There was NOTHING that I didn't like. What draws me to any audio book is the voices. The two people that did the reading were superb. This audio will take you on an emotional ride, bringing you up and down, make your heart race, and make you cry.

A good "guess who the killer is" novella

I've had issues with trying to read an actual book or anything with an article or story for the past ten years or so. I decided to try Audible again (I tried a couple of times in the past and either didn't have the funds to pay for Audible or lost the desire to "listen" to anything). So this time I decided to 'stick with it'. I chose this book because it was free and wasn't very long.

In the past, I get more out of listening to a book, etc..if the book uses different voices/and or people. This makes it well worth listening and it's like listening to a movie. The narrator was fair in her trying to disguise her voice for each character but like some reviewers have noted, it didn't add much enjoyment to the story.

The story itself was good. I was rather shocked to hear who the person was who was actually the murderer. What I didn't like was the abrupt ending that left you hanging. I would of liked a tiny bit more on possibly trial, etc,. I'm definitely going to choose other books by this author.

A good narrator but an OK storyline.

This was an OK story. I gave it an Overall score of two stars, but five (5) in Performance. I really enjoy a story more if the narrator is able to use or perform using different voices. Music and background noises added to the reality of the book, which in turn made me want to listen to it in its completeness.

Great Narration Made This A Great Read

It's been a few years since I've listened to an audio book, but this audio book was well worth it. Excellent narration made me feel like I was actually in the book.

This book kept and held my attention from start to finish. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.

An interesting read full of mystery and humor

I received this audio for the return of a honest review.

At first, it was difficult to 'get into the book' as it seemed to drag on in the beginning. Then as soon as Crazy Daisy and Sexy Solomon started to develop their weird, chemistry-fueled relationship, I was invested in its ending.

I love the storyline, the characters, the mystery and intrigue. What gives this book its extra 'kick' is the wonderful relationship between Daisy and her husband Paul. They do, indeed, have a sexy sex life. Daisy's quirks and mishaps add humor to the story, thus giving readers something to look forward to. Daisy makes you root for her as her need and desire to be a great investigator, her antics and near-miss escapades only adds to the book's overall, wonderfully written book by JL Simpson.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a mystery, combined with humor, danger, and a little bit of sexual heat thrown in for good measure.

Sometimes it was rather difficult to understand Mary Phillip's voice, as she is British, and I am an American. When Daisy was talking to the female character/singer, I found it very hard to understand exactly what was being said. Other than that, Mary did a fantastic job narrating this story.
