Historia
Lorness Carol, coming of age in the kingdom of her warlord father, Lord Rafel, aspires to wield magic. But she's also unknowingly become the obsession of Kragan, an avenging wielder as old as evil itself. He's waited centuries to find and kill the female prophesied as the only human empowered to destroy him. However, dispatching the king's assassin, Blade, to Rafel's Keep, ends in treason. For Blade arrives not with a weapon but rather a warning for the woman he's known and loved since he was a child.

Not for me, abandoned it early.
Revisado: 07-01-18
Quit early, which I never do. Can't say if it's bad, or just not for me, seems targeted at much younger readers. Not at all like the The Rho Agenda series by Mr Phillips, which I greatly enjoyed.
Narrator doesn't help, reading is flat, and no pauses for breaks.

Good Story, bad naration
Revisado: 05-08-15
Have read the series several times over the years since the original publication, and enjoyed it. The narrator in this version, greatly! detracted from the story with weird voices, one of the worst I've heard from Audible, out of the couple hundred I own.

Continues a great series, This one's more complex, my wife and I (listening together) had to stop many times to keep track of everything. Made it very entertaining.

The Mesan Alignment: a centuries-old cabal that seeks to impose its vision of a society dominated by genetic rank onto the human race. Now the conspiracy stands exposed by spies Anton Zilwicki and Victor Cachat - one an agent of Honor Harrington’s Star Kingdom of Manticore, the other a Havenite operative. The outing of the Alignment has turned the galaxy’s political framework topsy-turvy. Old coalitions have disintegrated. New alliances have been born.

Slow start, suspensefull ending.
Revisado: 06-10-14
Like many of Weber s recent book the beginning is rather wordy and descriptive. Eventually the pace picks up. My wife and I were wondering almost to the end how it would end. She guessed it, I never did.

Good book, so-so sequel to the first.
Revisado: 04-06-14
The book itself is quite good, we immediately went on to the next one. However there are serious continuity breaks from the previous book, Themes that were significant there vanished without explanation here. Also this has a different narrator than the first one, and while she's good, she pronounces names differently, which we find jarring. The next one is better though!

Best in Series so far!
Revisado: 04-06-14
This a very good book with a delightful narration. The story goes from crisis to crisis. We had a difficult time stopping each evening as my wife and I listened, in fact we spent the time we'd plan to read our current printed library book listening to this one, to the point I had to renew it. The character development made us feel like we knew them.

Revisado: 01-25-14
We're listening to the series, and each is better than the previous. We stop during the story to comment to each other and try to predict what's going to happen. Mostly feels realistic. Good pacing.

Hundreds of miles from ZaraCorps headquarters on planet, 178 light-years from the corporations headquarters on Earth, Jack is content as an independent contractor, prospecting and surveying at his own pace. As for his past, thats not up for discussion.

Better than the original.
Revisado: 07-11-13
I liked Little Fuzzy. Loved this one.Good story, well told, nicely updated from the original. Down checked the narration one star because in a conversation, each speaker was identified, rather than rely on voice alone. Don't know if thats the narrator or the author, If the author, they I apologize to Mr Wheaton.

Historia
Horror Day was fast approaching, the dreadful day when Earth was held inescapably in a grid of luminescent, evil energy, the day when Earth might be torn into another universe! A little band of ragged men, the pitiful remnant of the Army and Navy of the United States was all that stood between this unimaginable fate and the Lords of the Psychon.

Loved this book as a young teen when if first came out. Like it still now. This was one of three that I remember from my early SF days and searched for forever(!) Just recently got this (the last) of three, and now, even better, it comes out in audible. In spite of being that old it doesn't feel (very much) dated even.

Historia
The great debate is over. The human race has rejected the idea of pulling back from the stars and hiding on Earth in the hope the Broa will overlook us for a few more generations. Instead, the World Parliament, by a 60-40 vote, has decided to throw the dice and go for a win. Parliament Hall resounds with brave words as members declare victory inevitable. With the balance of forces a million to one against Homo sapiens' Terra, those who must turn patriotic speeches into hard-won reality have their work cut out for them.

Revisado: 07-11-13
Last of the trilogy. Great story. My only objection being that the ending seemed rushed. Unlike other authors nowadays who seem to stretch out stories, it felt like there was much more to tell, but the author rushed to get it into one book. Note to author, really, really want one more!
