Historia
There's a sudden spike in murders in Philadelphia, but no one seems to mind much because the victims all seem to be lowlifes. The more Homicide Sergeant Matthew Payne investigates, however, the more he gets a bad feeling-one that only gets worse when vigilante groups spring up claiming credit for some of the hits, even though Payne knows it can't be true. As the targets get bigger and events start moving out of control, Payne realizes that if he and his colleagues can't figure out who's behind this very soon, the violence could overtake them all.

I’m not even half way through and already every previous book has been summarized in this one. Apparently, this book doesn’t have its own story, just a repeat of all the others

A balanced account of game changes, conflicts and ambitions. The fall from popular grace of the previously adulated brother of the heir to the British throne as a consequence of his marriage to a beautiful and dynamic Hollywood starlet of colour makes for fascinating listening in best-selling royal author Lady Colin Campbell's balanced account. Lady Colin knows her royal history and psychology, and as the first seven years of her adult life were spent in the USA, she has a foot in both the American and British camps.

As a teen, Daymond John immersed himself in the burgeoning rap scene and quickly started to recognize that the people in the hip-hop community were being ignored and even looked down upon by major players in the fashion industry. Frustrated with this disconnect and passionate about the hip-hop community and culture, John and three of his best childhood friends started the iconic fashion label FUBU (For Us By Us) in John’s mother’s home in Queens.

Historia
His face is recognized the world over; his story is well known. But what is Prince William truly like? As Diana's eldest son, he was her confidant. While the tabloids eagerly lapped up the details of his parents' divorce, William lived though it, suffering the embarrassment and divided loyalties. He watched his father denounced on prime-time television; he met the lovers. And when he was just 15, his beautiful, loving mother was suddenly, shockingly snatched from his life forever. The nation lost its princess and its grief threatened the very future of the monarchy. What was almost forgotten in the clamor was that two small boys had lost their mother.

Not much about william
Revisado: 03-16-23
Whether true or not, the book is more about diana being a slut who was nailed my any guy with a johnson and charles who while less of a cocksman was in love with camila rather than william. Oh, it touches on him, but if you cut out his parents infidelities, it would be only 30 pages long

Historia
When discussing the German war crimes of the Second World War, modern histories have focused on the Holocaust. While the Final Solution was a unique and unparalleled horror, German atrocities did not end there. The Nazis terrorized their own citizens, tortured and murdered POWs, and carried out countless executions throughout occupied Europe. Lord Russell of Liverpool was part of the legal team that brought Nazi war criminals to justice, and from this first-hand position, he published the best-selling The Scourge of the Swastika in 1954. Liverpool shows that the actions of the Third Reich, were illegal, not merely immoral.

Revisado: 10-19-22
I grow increasingly angry at what germans did and got away with. Almost like the original movie Red Dawn, I want to hunt down and eliminate every german over the age of 85 or 90 because they allowed these monsters to destroy the world. Germany MUST be held accountable and as far as I’m concerned, they have not been. Nor have the japanese

This book opened my eyes
Revisado: 09-29-22
I’ll admit that being born and raised in an (almost) all white community in the north of Glendale, CA. Until my Junior or Senior year of high school, I don’t believe I’d ever even seen a black person up close. The nearest I can relate to it was as a young child watching the Watts riots on tv, but even then, television was black and white; so differentiating different skin colors really didn’t sink in. In high school a black basketball player attended our school. The community went ballistic. I just couldn’t understand what the big deal was. Their house was egged, garage painted with racial slurs, etc; but in a personal level I got along well with the player. After graduation, I entered the Navy where there are a lot of blacks (mostly men until I retired) and that was my first, real close up contact. Even still, the post Vietnam sailor is generally well educated and some even smarter and senior to me. Oh, there was talk and even some viscous comments from time to time, but I always tried to shy away from those ignorant people. After listening to the book, I now wonder (a) what would happened to the author if, by some fluke, he would have been stuck as a black man for life, and (b) is anyone willing to do something like this in 2022, with the blm movement, or any modern day city like Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, etc that although mostly black, have mostly white mentally incompetent cops.

This adventure story has everything you could want: a handsome good guy, a pretty heroine, some bad guys, sword fighting, revenge, romance, and of course a happy ending, along with “rodents of unusual size.” Join Westley (the plucky farm boy), Buttercup (the beautiful young maiden), Inigo Montoya (the driven, embittered swordsman), Prince Humperdinck (the scheming villain), and many other strange and unusual characters in this swashbuckling tale of good-natured silliness.

US Navy Seal Lieutenant Tom Norris, on three separate occasions over a four-day period, with no sleep, went behind enemy lines to rescue two downed air force pilots. Using stealth tactics, he was able to get though or around hundreds of North Vietnamese to rescue one pilot. The second pilot - hungry, thirsty, and having lost 40 pounds - was disoriented and unable to help in his rescue. Norris, with the help of one Vietnamese Seal, was able to safely bring the pilot back inside US lines.

Fantastic story, horrible audio
Revisado: 01-17-22
I’ve read quite a bit about this story and this author found some tidbits that are t in any other book.
However, since the narration obviously wasn’t some by a professional, it sounds like he’s talking through a can or in a bathroom. Horrible and hard to listen. Also, the rustling of pages is frustrating.

Historia
In 1968, a small, dilapidated American spy ship set out on a dangerous mission to pinpoint military radar stations along the coast of North Korea. Packed with advanced surveillance equipment and classified intelligence documents, the USS Pueblo was poorly armed and lacked backup by air or sea. Its crew, led by a charismatic, hard-drinking, ex-submarine officer named Pete Bucher, was made up mostly of untested sailors in their teens and twenties.

Learn how to pronounce Japanese cities

This is a common theme with just about every audible book I’ve listened to.
The narrator doesn’t know how to pronounce the names of Japanese cities and in fact butchers them.
For example, Yokosuka is NOT pronounces like yoko-soma (like tiki ono.l). It’s Yo-koo-ska
