Historia
Amber Patterson is fed up. She's tired of being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She deserves more - a life of money and power like the one blond-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish takes for granted. To everyone in the exclusive town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, Daphne - a socialite and philanthropist - and her real-estate mogul husband, Jackson, are a couple straight out of a fairy tale. Amber's envy could eat her alive...if she didn't have a plan.

Good story but too predictable
Revisado: 04-09-18
I liked the story but I found the story too predictable and had guessed Part 2 even before I was halfway through Part 1.
It’s a good book to listen to to keep you distracted but nothing extraordinary.

Historia
Throughout these books, Follett has followed the fortunes of five intertwined families - American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh - as they make their way through the twentieth century. Now they come to one of the most tumultuous eras of all: the enormous social, political, and economic turmoil of the 1960s through the 1980s, from civil rights, assassinations, mass political movements and Vietnam to the Berlin Wall, the Cuban Missile Crisis, presidential impeachment, revolution - and rock and roll.

Great trilogy
Revisado: 01-01-15
What made the experience of listening to Edge of Eternity the most enjoyable?
John Lee is an excellent narrator and the entire trilogy is great.
What about John Lee’s performance did you like?
He's a great narrator doing voices just right!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The story round the families that are separated by the wall, listening to the Von Ulrich situation really makes you realize how terrible is was. The book is like reading a History book, only way better as the stories around the facts makes them more real and relateable.

Historia
The Clifton Chronicles is Jeffrey Archer’s most ambitious work in four decades as an international best-selling author. The epic tale of Harry Clifton’s life begins in 1920, with the chilling words, ‘I was told that my father was killed in the war’. But it will be another twenty years before Harry discovers how his father really died, which will only lead him to question: who was his father?

Great saga
Revisado: 09-17-12
What did you like best about this story?
I love family stories and sagas, this once was a great one! Comparable to Ken Follett...
Who was the most memorable character of Only Time Will Tell: Clifton Chronicles, Book 1 and why?
Old Jack Tar - it's nice to have an old misunderstood-by-most type of character
Any additional comments?
Sometimes I had the feeling that some parts of the book where missing - like a sentence stopping in the middle (but didn't impede the understanding of the book, and only happened once or twice at the beginning), but this problem would be due to technical issues, and not the story in itself.

Historia
A huge novel that follows five families through the world-shaking dramas of the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the struggle for votes for women. It is 1911. The Coronation Day of King George V. The Williams, a Welsh coal-mining family, is linked by romance and enmity to the Fitzherberts, aristocratic coal-mine owners. Lady Maud Fitzherbert falls in love with Walter von Ulrich, a spy at the German Embassy in London.

Would you consider the audio edition of Fall of Giants to be better than the print version?
Yes, the reader uses accents which helps realize who is speaking (there are a lot of characters so very useful).
What did you like best about this story?
A lot of characters, The plot, etc.
I looked forward to commuting to listen to the story!
What about John Lee’s performance did you like?
The different accents for the characters
