Incredible People, Presentation and Stories
Revisado: 12-26-23
There was absolutely nothing to dislike. This podcast transports you into moments, with real people, real scenery, and sensational stories. I would recommend this podcast to ANYBODY. Some of the oral traditions gave me goosebumps, and the way the orators told them gives you a true connection to land and culture. Loved everything about this podcast.

I no longer recognize the person I've become. And I'm fighting to find my way back to the beast who hunts me in the night. They call me a diamond. But they've only created an angel of death.

Challenging
Revisado: 12-19-23
This story is good in the way that it gets into your head. Maybe a little too much..? Haunting Adeline was taboo spice that made you love and hate bother MCs. Hunting Adeline had me questioning exactly how much I could truly relate to the characters at all. I'm not sure I like this book, and I'm not sure I would recommend it to anyone. The performances were nearly perfect, and at some points that was the only reason I kept listening.

The 'Perfect Companion' to Kushiels Dart, to detail the beginnings of the Perfect Companion. I would very much enjoy similar treatment for Kushiels Chosen and Kushiels Avatar.

Perfect Sequel!
Revisado: 05-03-23
To start, I have to say that I have loved Frost's writing for quite some time. She brings magic as well as grit to sweeping love stories. The dynamic of Kat and Bones is incredible, and while I loved their tale from Kat's perspective, I think I will give the edge to Bones. Perhaps it is his hardened world view coated in his tectonic love for Kat. Perhaps it is Will Watt's wonderful voice and performance. Whatever the component, it is compelling enough to have me engrossed in a story of which I already know the ending. Thank you, Frost. This was time very well spent.

Interesting but... under developed.
Revisado: 09-28-20
This is an interesting take on literature - translating a comic to an audio book. There is a wild amount of potential within this story, however I felt it lacked the depth I craved from such an imaginative concept.
Before I go deeper, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the narrators! I dont think I could fault one of them! For me, they were what kept me listening. James McAvoy was simply wonderful to listen to and I would pay great money to have all of my male lead texts read to me by him.
Unfortunately the negatives were what lead me to deduct stars. My main issue was the two-dimensional nature of the many, many characters, stemming from the side stories that are completely removed from the main events. I would have traded many of the snipet-stories for more developement of the main characters. The side stories, although interesting and somewhat related, I felt added little value to the main plot.
My only other complaint was the ending. The climax of the story seemed to happen one third of the way in and after that I just felt as though I was waiting for the big finish. Was the ending displeasing? No, it was fine. But for the last episodes I was waiting for my mind to be blown and it...wasnt. It is disappointing, too, because I was attached to some characters and I felt like they were cheated.
This piece could have easily been twenty hours long, with more emotional developement and scene building. In the end I felt like the creators made me leap and bound through a world that I so desperatly wanted to take my time in, especially with such a talented cast and well produced foiliage. If there is another I will deffinitly listen just to be able to get to know this world better.

Historia
Thousands of years ago, Earth's terraforming program took to the stars. On the world they called Nod, scientists discovered alien life - but it was their mission to overwrite it with the memory of Earth. Then humanity's great empire fell, and the program's decisions were lost to time. Aeons later, humanity and its new spider allies detected fragmentary radio signals between the stars. They dispatched an exploration vessel, hoping to find cousins from old Earth. But those ancient terraformers woke something on Nod better left undisturbed. And it's been waiting for them.

WOW
Revisado: 08-31-19
This was an unexpected and wildly thrilling sequel to Children of Time. I really find Tchaikovsky's theatrical outlook on terraforming and space exploration quite stimulating and thought provoking. I love how it holds a mirror to society in a way that gives us humility and cathasis, but not until the end. Not until you are sure that our society would never get to this extreme, does he reverse the script on your internal dialogue and you are left with your own reflection. And before you are even able to think all of this, the tale and imagery grip you with cold settings producing impossibly warm characters. Cant wait to hear what else this writer comes up with!

I have read and listened to a lot of business centric books. This one didnt grip me, gave a very vague over view and then gave some brief life stories of entrepeneur titans. This is where I stopped. Most people interested in entrepeneurialship, have already heard and understood these stories. Tell me something more about their mind set. Tell me how I can overcome the same mindset battles. This was a half hearted attempt at business psychology. I only got this far because the readers performance was soothing enough, but not enough for me to finish.
