I love Wil Wheaton but why not R. C. Bray?

No R C Bray!

I like Wil Wheaton, he does a good job many times in books I’ve listened to. But he can’t hold a candle to R C Bray recording of the Martian, and I’m very angry that after I bought the book read by Bray and have recommended buying it to many people, and enjoyed listening to it many times, Audible changed out my book to the one read by Wheaton, without permission or notification. Audible offered to remove the book and give me a credit back, I don’t want that, I want my recording done by Bray! I know somewhere in the small print in the policy I was supposed to read there is something that makes this legal, but it shows no respect of customers,

Fun story!

I enjoy this series very much, have read all so far, and gotten the 4 on Audible, loved Marcella Riordan and had a difficult time with this narrator, but about half way thru the book her voice grew on me, and it wasn’t as jarring.

Love the Valor series and like where Huff is going with story.
But was very confused/put off by change in a major character's voice.
It made me confused every time I heard the voice, never got used to it.
I reread/listen to books on a series before read a new book, so I was used to Craig's voice the way it was in first series

I am a long time lover of science fiction and this story is a great example of why. Yes there's lots of stars, vacuum, explosions, science but the best part of the story is how people react to it all. I like the conversations Mark has with himself and the logs. I like the way the others(in space and on earth) react to him and his situation. Amazing story. And R C Bray did an amazing job!!

Sci-fi at it's best

I have always enjoyed military fiction, and sci-fi, this is a great mix of both, Torin is a great non-com and in her head at least a wonderful smart-ass. As a women I am used to military fiction being mostly about men, nice to have a female lead character. I like the way the Corp learned to incorporate different species and sexes. A great read in the middle of a great series
