Historia
Farms have fences. People have boundaries. Mine began crumbling the day I knelt behind a male sheep, reached between his legs, and squeezed his testicles. This took place one blustery November day when I joined other shepherd-wannabes for a class on the basics of raising sheep. I was there with my partner Melissa, the woman I'd lived with for 12 years, because we were going to start a farm.

The most 'real' farm book!

Listened to this before and after starting my own small farm, and it's so accurate!

Historia
In 10 lectures, award-winning historian Patrick N. Allitt transports listeners to England in the 1840s and 1850s. During those two decades, Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, became one of the most influential people in the country and remains a figure of fascination even today. In fact, the British royal family as we know it wouldn't exist without the private and public actions of this detached, impartial, and upright political figure.

Educational, but needs editing
Revisado: 05-21-20
A bit difficult to listen to, as there were lots of moments of mouth noise, background rustling, etc.
Probably worth the price, tho!

Historia
In 1518, in a small town in Alsace, Frau Troffea began dancing and didn't stop. She danced until she was carried away six days later, and soon 34 more villagers joined her. Then more. In a month more than 400 people had been stricken by the mysterious dancing plague. In late-19th-century England an eccentric gentleman founded the No Nose Club in his gracious townhome - a social club for those who had lost their noses, and other body parts, to the plague of syphilis for which there was then no cure.

The perfect match of content and narrator!
Revisado: 03-05-20
Every so often, a book is made noticably better by the reader's performance. The narrator perfectly captures the snarky humor of the author, and it's such a pleasure to listen to!

Historia
War has come to Discworld...again. And, to no one's great surprise, the conflict centers around the small, insufferably arrogant, strictly fundamentalist duchy of Borogravia, which has long prided itself on its ability to beat up on its neighbors. This time, however, it's Borogravia that's getting its long-overdue comeuppance, which has left the country severely drained of young men.

Stunningly Good Performance and Fantastic Book
Revisado: 12-03-11
Would you listen to Monstrous Regiment again? Why?
Absolutely - in fact, I've already listened to it three times!
Which character – as performed by Stephen Briggs – was your favorite?
Impossible to choose. This book is Stephen Briggs' best performance, in my opinion, and his reading genuinely adds another layer of fun to this great book. What a fantastic reader, with a wide range of voices perfectly suited to Pratchett's wacky world!
