My new favorite series

I was maybe twenty minutes in and obsessed. I’m familiar with the narrator which is how I found this series and I love her performance of the book. Excellent story and already downloaded the next two.

Hooked on the series but…

I’m totally hooked on this series overall, but Mel’s attitude toward her relationship with Joe, holding him at a distance over fear almost made me DNF. It played too big a part in the story arc from book to book for me, and then involving detective manny as an almost love triangle was frustrating and started to make me dislike her. The cozy aspects of the series have been spectacular, the side characters, and the mystery aspect have kept me going. I love Oz, what a cutie, and I will keep reading bc I love a long series.

I stumbled upon this series and wasn’t sure I’d love a middle aged witch story, usually the younger ones are more fun and I was worried for nothing. Well written, quippy, funny, dramatic… This series has it all.

Series continues to get better

LOVE this series

Absolutely cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out. I love Amanda Ronconi as a narrator as it is, but love the story ARC Molly Harper has created over the first two books. I was riveted and listened to both within a week. Fabulous listen all the way around, and Molly has a new fan!

Excellent Series

I listened to this entire series from book one loving every minute of it. I found through a search on the narrator who’d worked on another series I enjoyed, and decided to give it a try. I love the real British bake-off and everything about this story checked off what I love. Mystery, murder, baking, a lovely new witch. Highly recommend

Good series but repetitive writing

I picked this series up at the recommendation of another cozy author I LOVE. I thought book one took awhile to get into but then I got attached to the characters. Currently on book 6 in the series and the author has used “released a breath I’d been holding” three times by chapter 8 which is an overused phrase in general in books but 3x this early in the book things like that are annoying to me. Outside of that, I love the diverse characters, and the narrator was quite good once I got used to her. So outside of the repetitive phrase use throughout the books and series it’s enjoyable and fun.
