Historia
The transition through the experimental teleporter on Al'Antis was successful. James and his team have found the original teleporter of the elders. But what awaits them on the other side is not what they expected. They find the answers they so ardently desire, but none of them makes their future any easier. On the contrary, they suddenly find themselves facing a final great danger to their home planet that seemed unreachable: Earth. But the place where James, Mila, Mette, Adrian, Meeks, and Justus find themselves turns everything they have believed upside down—including time itself.

I should have stopped at the second book
Revisado: 04-26-24
I figured out the ending of this book about half way through it . I hate that as it was an obvious ending , not the who but the how . The end of the 2nd book was like a dangling carrot to a rabbit , I had to buy the 3 rd I forgot to not take the carrot lol … such an awful ending of a good series

Historia
From electrifying horror author Nick Cutter comes a haunting new novel, reminiscent of Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian and Stephen King's It, in which a trio of mismatched mercenaries is hired by a young woman for a deceptively simple task: check in on her nephew, who may have been taken against his will to a remote New Mexico backwoods settlement called Little Heaven. Shortly after they arrive, things begin to turn ominous.

I really liked this until … the ending spoiler alert
Revisado: 01-11-24
This was a great book I can see why some thought it was a little like IT but truly these were never children growing up they were all adults changing much different as much of IT is about the children , the town and so on … this was not about the town , not kids .. so maybe similar a little but truly it was its own very good unique story & I really really liked it !! This author is a new one I have just found and I so love his books .. I do have to say the ending to this book … stop now if you haven’t read this yet ….
Was awful .. I was so disappointed I hate when I can guess the ending about 2 chapters away and I did here and I was truly hoping I was wrong !!!! After all this , after blowing stuff up , that’s it over just so so disappointing after you ingrain yourself so much in the book …

Overall good story … but ending was disappointing
Revisado: 10-01-23
Overall good book , having watched the movie I was excited to read the book as almost all the time the book is better … not really the case here. While parts of the books were much better and you could get a deeper sense as always of the characters this book just dragged through the last few chapters so badly I almost stopped. Just nonsense out of nowhere with music and satan and the like … then it got good again but a VERY disappointing end …. The ending of movie much better than the end of this book was hoping for more 😩and not sure if I would read this author again either

Not sure why some said it was awful ? It was good ! Worth the listen
Revisado: 07-16-22
Loved the book …BUT … and I guess the author wanted this but the biggest question is who , what and where did these creatures come from ? No answers at all… overall good follow up worth it if you liked the first book

Historia
Thousands of years ago, Earth's terraforming program took to the stars. On the world they called Nod, scientists discovered alien life - but it was their mission to overwrite it with the memory of Earth. Then humanity's great empire fell, and the program's decisions were lost to time. Aeons later, humanity and its new spider allies detected fragmentary radio signals between the stars. They dispatched an exploration vessel, hoping to find cousins from old Earth. But those ancient terraformers woke something on Nod better left undisturbed. And it's been waiting for them.

Should come with a sadness warning

Wow … great story could not stop ,, even when I needed to
Revisado: 06-10-22
Great book … but so sad & then uplifting at the same time !! Wish it was a bit longer would have liked to know more about the end chapters , but sometimes it’s better left to the imagination right ? But be warned … most of the book is very deep , sad & has a lot of death in in 😢😢as someone who has experienced the ultimate loss , a child , the beginning of the books was honestly almost too much to take … and I needed a break .. but in the end this is one of the better sci fi dystopian books I have read in a very long time … yes , a little bit of wokeness in here but not too much ! Well worth you time !

Miah Gray is a 27-year-old former army soldier living in rural New Hampshire with his sister, mother, and her boyfriend. He is plagued by PTSD, finding solace, but not redemption, with the aid of prescribed cannabis. All he wants to do is get high, relax with a good sandwich, and watch a meteor shower with his neighborhood crush, Jen. When the sun's light is blotted out the following morning and the world is plunged into darkness, Miah finds himself locked down with his family, covering windows with trash bags, lighting candles, and following the arcane rules of an ancient prophecy.

Usually LOVE this authors books …. But ???
Revisado: 05-30-22
The book started off well then I had to struggle to get through the end of it ! The story was so far fetched , aliens / angels / demons / Norse runes/ crazy vets and so on … I love books like this , but by the end I forwarded through the final battle to get to the epilogue … so disappointed by the book , if you think these types of books go elsewhere don’t bother with this one … wish I had passed it just seemed like he threw the book together to put a book out … sad

Historia
100,000 years ago the object hit the lake at the deepest point, quickly sinking into its mile-deep Stygian darkness. The sheets of ice closed, time moved on and the land forgot. But over the centuries, legends grew of people vanishing, of strange, deformed animals and of an unexplained luminescence down in the lake depths. When Marcus Stenson won the lucrative contract to create a sturgeon fish farm on the site of disused paper mill on the shore of Lake Baikal, he thought he had won the lottery and refused to listen to the chilling folktales....

Good book ... but way too long
Revisado: 01-22-22
I really enjoyed this book for about the first 3 or 4 hours. I could not stop listening, then it just got stuck , not sure if that is the right word, but it dragged and dragged until I was struggling to finish listening to it .. I hate not finishing a book. I did finish and the ending was such a let down as well... I like the narrator and thought he did a good job, but anything that was sci-fi oriented in this book was hidden until the last 2 hours and then felt rushed .. not his best for sure.. if you like these types of books , try the Journey to the center of the earth series from this author! It was awesome .

Historia
It began on New Year’s Eve. The sickness came on suddenly, and spread quickly. The fear spread even faster. Within weeks, everything people counted on began to fail them. The electrical grid sputtered; law and government collapsed - and more than half of the world’s population was decimated. Where there had been order, there was now chaos. And as the power of science and technology receded, magick rose up in its place.

Don't bother with this one!
Revisado: 10-02-21
i love dystopian future books, I love magic books ... the mix of the two sounded like they would be great and I like Nora Roberts too.... However, I couldn't even get through 4 chapters... it was all over the place, the characters were shallow.. and the worst is that I just didn't care about what they were doing or feeling.. I was so disappointed about this. I was so excited, the reviews weren't bad... I will never finish a book... this was the one that I couldn't finish .. so glad audible allows easy returns .!!!!
