I can't say enough about D.M. Pulley. She is definitely one of the most talented writers of the 21st century. The Unclaimed Victim is her 3rd novel in several years, and, like 2 her 2 previous novels, she cleverly weaves a single story between 2 time periods. Evelyn is a lady of the night in 1932; Kris is a daughter with a recently murdered father in 2000s. The stories are related, but in the meantime it's easy to get (happily) lost among the clever, sonorous writing. Please read her books. They are amazing.

Unique story

Digging In is a story of Paige (and her teenage son) who was widowed 2 years prior and slogs her way through the last 20 years as an advertising executive. The company's owner dies and his son redevelops the business, shaking up the status quo of Paige's job. Along the way, Paige decides to create a garden, which I suppose is an allegory to digging up her old life and starting new. I stopped the book halfway though--found it mundane, hence the 2 star rating.

What did you love best about Deadly Straits?

Wow, what's not to love about Deadly Straits? Deadly Straits is a--suspense--gripping--non-stop--thriller that spans Singapore to Panama. It's about Tom Dugan, a hero falsely accused of hijacking that is forced to go undercover to find who the real culprit is, who happens to be his best friend. It's non-stop action that is reminiscent of Robert Ludlum's books.

What other book might you compare Deadly Straits to and why?

I can't believe this is a first book! Again, McDermott's book is like the Ludlum series and a little bit like Clancy.

Which scene was your favorite?

I'm fascinated by Panama, and Mcdermott's sections about all the boat action really made the vision come alive for me.

Smooth interesting read

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Kaanapali Beach Paradise is a prettily written story that revolves around 3 different families. The story is written smoothly and the chararacters are interesting, but it ends without a conclusion, which I found offputting.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Awesome story tho not about Bletchley!

Would you listen to The Scandal at Bletchley again? Why?

I'm a history buff-I love to learn about little-known war stories. Bletchley Park is a building in the UK where Allies (WW2) deciphered Axis' militaryt codes. Though this story is fun and involves a scandal, it has nothing to do with miltary. It is a fun wicked story though.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Scandal at Bletchley?

My favorite part of the story was the party where the murders occur. There are several characters and twists and turns, and the way in which Sir Hillary's "secret" is revealed.

What does Jack Treby bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I thought Jack Treby was fantastic. I could listen to him all day long.

Awesome series! Paranormal meets romance meets YA

Would you consider the audio edition of Dream Student to be better than the print version?

The dream student series is about Sara, a young college student whose dreams reveal prediction of accidents that really happen. One of her dreams is about Brian, who eventually becomes her boyfriend.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dream Student?

I loved the moments when Sara solves the dream of the teen that is murdered.

What about Heather Jane Hogan’s performance did you like?

I thought Ms Hogan was spot on in voicing the characters. She made Sara sweet and vulnerable and Brian masculine yet endearing.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Romance, Paranormal. YA.

All cat owners need this book!

It his author ha a series of pet rearing books. I read the book about cats, and even though I have had cats for many years, this book taught me invaluable information. The author organized each chapter by different topics, eg feeding, stress, sleeping. The informs
Film was not mundane or obvious. The narrator was smooth and interesting.

Taking care of a pet is as difficult as chillsrearing(well, almost).
It takes a village to raise a cat!

Suspense story with a heart

The PIts is a is a unique story about an animal-lovig young army officer who stumbles upon an illegal dog-fighting operation in his army base town. The story is complete with boy meets girl, loving parents, and Russian bad guys.
I enjoyed the storyline and the narrator had a terrific smooth voice. However, I could not get past the canned language, unnecessary obsessive description of wontons appearances, and lack of creative language.

A guidebook on mongers banging strippers!

Was this a book It felt like an audio diary from a guy giving advice on how to bang strippers.

Would you ever listen to anything by Monger X again?

Probably not unless he is a different genre!

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

He was a little monotone but I felt like his matter of fact voice fit the subject matter so I wouldn''t change much.

Sweet western story

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Although the western cowboy genre isn't one I normally read, the story was engaging and paced just right for this type of story and I enjoyed it. I would recommend it to my friends who like westerns.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I dont know what I'd cjhange about it, it just wasn't my genre.

What about Adam Durst’s performance did you like?

I really throught Adam Durst fit this book like white on rice. Loved his slow, meodic tone.

Could you see Blaze of Glory being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yeah, anyone blond comes to mind.
