Historia
Celebrating her forty-fifth birthday at her local pub, popular podcaster Alix Summer crosses paths with an unassuming woman called Josie Fair. Josie, it turns out, is also celebrating her forty-fifth birthday. They are, in fact, birthday twins. A few days later, Alix and Josie bump into each other again, this time outside Alix’s children’s school. Josie has been listening to Alix’s podcasts and thinks she might be an interesting subject for her series. She is, she tells Alix, on the cusp of great changes in her life.

Clever story
Revisado: 08-14-23
I liked the way Lisa Jewell unfolded this story. I wanted to keep listening bc I just *had to* find out how it played out! It made for a good audio production too. I don’t usually love the fluff in “performed” audio books with music & various actors etc but this was great. The whole story was an absolute mind bender. Sometimes it felt like it was going to be an awful story (emotionally speaking, trigger warnings and all that) but it was worth listening to the end to see it unwind. This didn’t have a bow on it at the end. You’re left with some guessing & perhaps some frustration if you prefer a neat & tidy wrapped up ending.

Such Fun Mysteries
Revisado: 10-24-19
I love the lightheartedness of these Molly Murphy Mysteries. I also appreciate the detail of taking us back to the early 1900s New York. The performance of this audio version was amazing!

Long, but good
Revisado: 09-21-18
I may have enjoyed listening to this book rather than reading it because I think the voices & accents helped give it a different life than I would have. I’m a fan of WWII fiction and really liked how this went on many years after the war. At times I wished the book was shorter, but at the end, I think the story did need the length. Listen to the end so you can hear the author’s notes.
