Historia
In a case that spans 20 years, Harry Bosch links the bullet from a recent crime to a file from 1992, the killing of a young female photographer during the L.A. riots. Harry originally investigated the murder, but it was then handed off to the Riot Crimes Task Force and never solved. Now Bosch's ballistics match indicates that her death was not random violence, but something more personal, and connected to a deeper intrigue. Like an investigator combing through the wreckage after a plane crash, Bosch searches for the "black box", the one piece of evidence that will pull the case together.

Worst narrator on any audiobook Ive ever heard
Revisado: 06-18-14
The narrator completely ruins this audiobook. The voice of Harry Bosch sounds exactly like all the other characters (females included). Harry Bosch series is normally very well narrated, but this is just terrible. I cannot finish this ok solely because of how poorly the narration is. He is so boring and monotone sounding its unreal. The narrator and/or producers of this audiobook should find a new line of work, because they have completely butchered the reading of this book.

Historia
Cypherpunks are activists who advocate the widespread use of strong cryptography (writing in code) as a route to progressive change. Julian Assange, the editor-in-chief of and visionary behind WikiLeaks, has been a leading voice in the cypherpunk movement since its inception in the 1980s. Now, Assange brings together a small group of cutting-edge thinkers and activists from the front line of the battle for cyber-space to discuss whether electronic communications will emancipate or enslave us.

Excellent
Revisado: 06-13-13
So for starters, if you want a preview of this book you can watch the Julian Assange Show episode titled Cypherpunks 1 and 2 (available various places, I watched it on Hulu) . The audiobook is a text version of a conversation between Julian Assange, Jeremie Zimmerman, Andy Müller-Maguhn, anbd Jacob Appelbaum, and the show is the video of part of the interview, though the book has the entire conversation.
The book provides a very realistic, and often unseen look at freedom or lack thereof, as well as various ways the government is trying to limit privacy and free speech on the internet through various things like SOPA or through Facebook. The audibook also talks a lot of the various ways "Cypherpunks" are able to maintain their autonomy, against the will of the government.
I really enjoyed the audiobook, and finished it easily within two days. Once I started it I couldn't put it down.... I think I listened to three and a half hours straight after starting it.

Boring.....
Revisado: 03-17-13
I was expecting a mystery/detective style novel like those by Michael Connolly or the like, instead it's just a long winded story about a character I don't find all that interesting, with just a hint of a mystery.
If you're looking for a suspense or detective style book then surely don't buy this. You'll be disappointed.

Crazy good!!!!!
Revisado: 05-15-12
Never even knew I liked sci-fi books until this. These short stories are awesome. Action packed, clever, and really fast paced, with no boring or slow parts. At the same time the stories still make sense, and don't feel artificially short or anything like that. I really enjoyed this, and plan to get many more Phillip K Dick books. Thse stories were pure enjoyment. I just can't say enough.

Historia
This was no ordinary war. This was a war to make the world safe for democracy. And if democracy was made safe, then nothing else mattered - not the millions of dead bodies, nor the thousands of ruined lives. This is no ordinary novel. This is the story of a young American soldier terribly maimed in World War I - he "survives" armless, legless, and faceless, but with his mind intact.

Awesome idea for a book, but terribly boring
Revisado: 03-16-12
This sounds like a really great book, I think the idea sounds very interesting. That said this book is beyond dry. Without a doubt oone of the most boring novels I have ever read. Very, very hard to get through. I listened to the last half of this book on 3x, and almost deleted it before I finished it a few times. Add that to the fact Cindy Sheehan wrote the introduction it makes me wish I could rate this title a 0 instead of a 1.

Historia
Macbeth: A Novel brings the intricacy and grit of the historical thriller to Shakespeare’s tale of political intrigue, treachery, and murder. In this full-length novel written exclusively for audio, authors A. J. Hartley and David Hewson rethink literature’s most infamous married couple, grounding them in a medieval Scotland whose military and political upheavals are as stark and dramatic as the landscape in which they are played.

Too difficult to understand narrator
Revisado: 02-21-12
I have finished, at time of writing, 43 out of 43 audiobooks I have gotten from audible, meaning I have always finished what I buy. I stopped listening to this after 5 minutes. The author has a very strong scotish accent, which I get MacBeth is scotish and all, but at the same time I cannot understand the narrator. I had to give up. No idea how the book turns out, though I was excited about it. Guess I'll have to get a written book.

Historia
For two thousand years, cadavers have been involved in science's boldest strides and weirdest undertakings. They've tested France's first guillotines, ridden the NASA Space Shuttle, been crucified in a Parisian laboratory to test the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin, and helped solve the mystery of TWA Flight 800. For every new surgical procedure, from heart transplants to gender reassignment surgery, cadavers have been there alongside surgeons, making history in their quiet way.

Boring, and not funny.
Revisado: 09-13-11
Interesting topic for a book, but terrible execution.
This book is really boring, and I really struggled to finish it. The one liners by the author are also flat out terrible. They aren't funny, occur every couple of paragraphs, and after a few chapters get really, really annoying.

Historia
In this irreverent and illuminating audiobook, acclaimed writer and scientist Leonard Mlodinow shows us how randomness, chance, and probability reveal a tremendous amount about our daily lives, and how we misunderstand the significance of everything from a casual conversation to a major financial setback. As a result, successes and failures in life are often attributed to clear and obvious causes, when in actuality they are more profoundly influenced by chance.

Good book, but terrible AUDIO book
Revisado: 08-23-11
I would not suggest this audio book, and would instead suggest you buy the actual book. I'd give the book itself 5 stars, but since I retained less from this book than any other audio book I've ever listened to I have to take some stars off. It's like getting the audio version of a mathbook, it's just not the right way to read it.
It's a very good book; however makes for a pretty terrible audio book. Info is way, way too dense to get much out of the audio alone. (For example, I'm quite familiar with Pascals triangle, but when listening to audio I couldn't make any sense of what he was trying to get across when he was discussing it. I was left very confused, and cannot fathom how someone with less knowledge of it than I would would ever be able to grasp what the audiobook is saying. And I still rewound it several times.)
