Does your home sometimes feel like just a place to eat, sleep, and change clothes on the way to the next activity? Do you long for "home" to mean more than a place where you stash your stuff? Wouldn't you love it to become a haven of warmth, rest, and joy...the one place where you and your family can't wait to be? There is good news waiting for you in The Lifegiving Home. Every day of your family's life can be as special and important to you as it already is to God.

Historia
Raised as a fourth-generation farmer, when Will Harris inherited White Oak Pastures he was a full-time commodity cowboy who played hard and fast with every tool the system offered–chemicals, antibiotics, steroids, and more. His ancestors had built a highly profitable, conventionally run machine, but over time he found himself disgusted with the excess, cruelty, and smalltown devastation this system entailed. So he bet the farm on forging a different way of doing things. One that works with nature not against it, and bridges the quickly widening delta between consumers and their food.

Finally. Someone who says it like it is. Highly recommend this book to everyone. This book has reminded me why we have chosen to take the less traveled route in farming. It has reinspired me when I need it most. Thank you, Will.

Historia
David R. Montgomery and Anne Bikle take us far beyond the well-worn adage to deliver a new truth: the roots of good health start on farms. What Your Food Ate marshals evidence from recent and forgotten science to illustrate how the health of the soil ripples through to that of crops, livestock, and ultimately us. Navigating discoveries and epiphanies about the world beneath our feet, they reveal why regenerative farming practices hold the key to healing sick soil and untapped potential for improving human health.

Historia
Have you ever wanted to experiment with growing your own food but didn’t think you had the space, the time, or the knowledge? Justin Rhodes thought the same thing—until after years battling systemic illness and struggling to provide the kind of wholesome food he wanted for his family, he bought a seed packet at the grocery store and was hooked.

This book helped me get through a tough stage of gardening burn out. A great book for beginners but also very inspiring for advanced homesteaders, it reminded me why we do this in a time I needed it most. I hardly have time to sit and read a hard cover book but Justin's audiobook version made it unique and memorable, only took a couple of days listening to it during chores and housework. I love the way he can tell a story. 10/10 recommend.
