Flawlessly Brilliant!
Revisado: 10-30-23
This is one of my top 2 favorite audiobook stories. There wasn't a single dull moment. Talk about HILARIOUS! I swear the author must do standup comedy part-time. I am a huge critic. I could not find a single thing to criticize in this story, not one. This is my second time listening to this series within the past year or so, and I know I'll listen to it several times more in years to come. Travis Baldree is a master voice actor and the best fit for the story.

Gratitude to Greaney!!!
Revisado: 03-16-23
I stopped giving reviews because I considered myself being too critical, too negative too often. I found this entire series infallible, and this is rare for me! This installment set the cherry on top! The story unraveled two of the knots I most desperately wanted to see unravel for several books. Finally! This is easily my most favorite series. While listening, I find myself wishing the stories were each at least 50 hrs long. I get so wrapped up and there is never a dull moment. As for the narrator, there could not have been a better choice. Jay Snyder owns his role each and every book. It would have been nice to hear him paired with a female narrator but he still delivered on time with a smile and a bonus gift, perfection! I am very thankful these two (author and narrator) keep coming back to give us more to this series and I will hate the day that it ends.

Historia
Centuries ago, the murder of a beloved king tore apart the Kingdom of Caledun. The land was plunged into chaos and thousands perished. A new order was established in an attempt to return Caledun to its former glory. It failed, but in its place rose the beginnings of the Code. During this same period, the mystical caretakers of the Great Wood retreated from the world of Kal Maran, their disappearance an ominous harbinger of the suffering that was to follow. The Great Wood now grows out of control. Cities, towns, and villages have fallen before the relentless march of the forest.

I just can't seem to make it through the first seven chapters without my thoughts wandering somewhere else and losing the story. I swear it's laborious for me trying to stay focused on this story. I restarted this book 3 times hoping maybe this time I will grasp and hold on to the end. No hope for me with this book.

Good story but cheesy dialog
Revisado: 09-04-22
I liked the story a lot. However, some parts of the dialog were very clichéd and cheesy. Also, characters at times seemed to lack common sense or failed to display proper wariness when knowingly dealing with treacherous characters. Nevertheless, the plot held my interest well enough, although I nearly stopped listening to the story several times due to it's occasional shallowness.

A tree grown without a seed.
Revisado: 08-16-22
This series is a whirlwind. All three books start near the end of a universal conflict with no depth to the origin story or development of the ancient characters which guide the events of the story. The history of said characters is very shallow. The story is like torn pieces of fabric being sewn back together, which I found a bit frustrating. Nevertheless, the author is favorable and shows some skill of writing and humor. I would be fairly interested to hear more stories written by this author. Kramer is one of the best narrators in his profession and is a perfect match for this series.

Flawless everything! It's very rare that I find a story I cannot criticize. The is one of the best at his craft, possibly my favorite. I have the first three books of this series and this is my second go'round. It's time I increase my collection of this author's work. Hamilton is a story tailor.
