Confused
Revisado: 06-26-24
much of the book was very enjoyable and interesting. The end, however, seemed rushed and I'm afraid that I didn't follow it.

Nope!
Revisado: 08-17-23
This was not to my liking. I found the ending terrible and did not fit the characters. It felt like many of the characters completely flipped their behavior for the sake of reader surprise. And the main point written up in the synopsis really was such an inconsequential part of the story.

Not what I expected.
Revisado: 06-08-23
it started out exciting and then went more into a romantic novel than a mystery novel. some might really like that, and since I had not read Nora Robert's before, that might be typical. However, it's not my favorite.

On the side of "excellent"
Revisado: 04-24-23
At first, it took a little while to get into it. But it turns out that was necessary due to the complex entertwining of the characters. once the background was set, it was captivating. I thought the narration was perfect for the tone of the story. I'm puzzled by the negative reviews. I find myself on the side of "it was excellent."

Be prepared.
Revisado: 11-03-22
This book is extremely well written and highly informative. The authors do a great job of conveying a lot of information in an engaging way that keeps your interest. It reads like a suspense novel about corporate greed, but frightening as you realize it's not fiction.
My warning is that you need to be in a calm state when beginning this book, otherwise the facts they recount can be disturbing. Especially if you, or someone you know, has recently been the victim of downsizing.

In my current days of being very busy I am only able to find small chunks of time available to listen to books. This has not presented itself as a problem until I started listening to this book and found it very difficult to "put down" for any length of time. Thankfully, now that I've finished it, I will no longer be avoiding my other duties due to be engrossed in this book.

Historia
Nine strangers receive a list with their names on it in the mail. Nothing else, just a list of names on a single sheet of paper. None of the nine people know or have ever met the others on the list. They dismiss it as junk mail, a fluke—until very, very bad things begin happening to people on the list. First, a well-liked old man is drowned on a beach in the small town of Kennewick, Maine. Then, a father is shot in the back while running through his quiet neighborhood in suburban Massachusetts. A frightening pattern is emerging, but what do these nine people have in common?

I liked it.
Revisado: 03-27-22
I have read some of the other reviews that didn't like this book. I am not sure why that is. Not often do books surprise me, but this one definately did. It moved at a good pace and had lots if intrigue.
I, for one, highly recommend it.
