Historia
The borders are blurred in the woods around Eilegate House. The nearby town has borne witness to the centuries of bloodshed and upheaval that crafted modern Scotland and . . . retains vestiges of an old and dangerous magic. In 1934, the threat of war lingers just beyond the horizon. When Great War veteran Albert Lerrant and his new bride Victoria move into the stately home of Eilegate, the couple realize the house is not quite as abandoned as it first appeared. Tensions take a turn for the dire when Albert wakes up one midsummer morning to find his wife vanished without a trace.

Captivating Story
Revisado: 04-14-25
Elizabeth Perry is an elegant storyteller. She winds the story and builds it through eyes of different characters taking you on an emotional and riveting adventure. This is a book that I would sit in my car to listen to that next chapter because I was so caught up in the twists and turns of the interwoven storyline. Just when I thought I had figured out where this story was heading, the author threw in a curveball that kept me hanging on every word. The story is beautifully read and the care that was taken with each character shows. I hope Ms. Perry graces us with another fantastic story full of friendship, lore and love.

Historia
From the day that old Nana Reja found a baby abandoned under a bridge, the life of a small Mexican town forever changed. Disfigured and covered in a blanket of bees, little Simonopio is for some locals the stuff of superstition, a child kissed by the devil. But he is welcomed by landowners Francisco and Beatriz Morales, who adopt him and care for him. As he grows up, Simonopio becomes a cause for wonder to the Morales family, because when the uncannily gifted child closes his eyes, he can see what no one else can - visions of all that’s yet to come, both beautiful and dangerous.
