Ken Follett...need I say more?
Revisado: 01-29-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Definitely. It is an interesting tale, woven thru WWII history, told thru the eyes of very real and vivid characters.
What did you like best about this story?
I learned so much about the facts behind the facts of WWII.
What about John Lee’s performance did you like?
I usually prefer to hear a man reading; I don't know why, but there it is. John Lee has a strong easy to listen to voice.

Love, Love Love! this book!!
Revisado: 01-03-13
Would you listen to Watership Down again? Why?
Yes, I would definitely listen to this again and again; I had read this book decades ago and have recommended it to so many people, just love it. It is so well written and interesting. The narration is superb! No one trying to "do" voices....just beautifully reading this wonderful story.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Oh, how ever could I choose? I would have to say "Fiver" as I can relate to the character.
What does Ralph Cosham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Being an American, his fine British accent adds to the setting of the story.
If you could rename Watership Down, what would you call it?
Wouldn't change it if I could.
Any additional comments?
I am a jewelry artist, and I listen to audio books while I work in my studio; listening to Watership Down has certainly slowed down my working, as I find myself drifting off to the English countryside and rabbit country.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Disappointed
Revisado: 01-03-13
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The story began so promising, such in interesting premise; but as it progressed into what I found to be silly, repetitive lovemaking scenes, without propelling the story forward, I finally gave up and actually never finished listening.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Sadly, I never got that far!
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disapointment
Any additional comments?
I did enjoy the narrator and the character sketches were very good. Just too much silly, repetitive sexual descriptions, which took away from, didn't add to the story line.
