long lost twin pretends to be twin who is in a coma at the request of manipulative sleazy rich dad. Only issue? He can't tell anyone, not even his twin's fiance. This was a slow burn, funny at times. Loved it. Starting on second book now.

not her best book

Usually I finish LJ Shen's books in one sitting but I struggled with this one. The female lead was weak and kept being manipulated by her parents. The male lead didn't have any redeeming qualities. As a non-smoker, the fact he is a chain smoker makes me think his kisses taste like an ashtray. He hates women. Now, I love a bad boy. Vicious and Villain were great. But they were into their women in a way that Sam Brennan didn't appear to be. He lusted for Ashlyn, but it wasn't made clear that it went beyond that until the end of the book. Of course I will continue to buy LJ's books. There are only two of her books I rated lower than 4 stars. This is one of them. The voice of Ashlyn's governess in her head, like her conscience was irritating, to top it off.

boring and long

if you liked other JA Huss books, skip this one. Too descriptive, not enough story and not as hot as her other books. The big reveal after all the mystery between Ix and Jordan was such a let down. This author has other books. Pick a different one. Not worth the time. The stars are for the great narrators.

He used to date her roommate but she had a huge crush on him. She had to drop out of college due to family illness. Years later she meets him in NY. She is working dead-end jobs. He is rich. Really cute and spicy romance novel.

There is very little Christmas on this book. I You can read it anytime, even in the summer and it won't be weird. The plot: He is a Millionaire on vacation. She is taking time off after a bad break up. They decide sightsee together -first names only (she doesn't know he is a millionaire). These two seem well matched. Their attraction builds up based on shared interests and truly enjoying each other's company. At first, he is reluctant to pursue any romantic notions with her because he is so proper and thinks it will look bad. Adorable. There is one or two explicit sex scenes, but serves to advance the plot, tastefully done.

Gabriel's Inferno 2nd book

Gabriel grows and matures in this book. He unwillingly takes a step back to reevaluate his life and makes peace with his past. the themes were well developed. there is more Explicitly sexual scenes in this book than the first one but they were all consensual and served to further the story, not gratuitous. Fantastic read.

Rockstar/regular fan love story

She had his poster in her bedroom growing up. He was in a boy band. Years later, she goes to a concert and he pull her up on stage and sings to her. Swooning ensues. Triggers: her sister is terminally ill and she dies in the middle of the book. If you liked "Cake" by J. Bengtson, you may like this one. Cake is better, but this one is good, too.
