The explosive conclusion to Veronica Roth's #1 New York Times best-selling Divergent trilogy reveals the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of listeners in Divergent and Insurgent.

Conflicted.
Revisado: 10-30-13
I love Emma Galvin and the narrator who read Tobias did a wonderful job.
BUT I think Veronica Roth severely missed the mark on this one. I love Divergent, love it so incredibly much, I even really liked Insurgent although it was not as good IMO. I EVEN liked the plot line for Allegiant, but the whole thing just felt off.
I'm still thinking about how sad I am. I am sad because the series is over and I am sad because I feel let down. I feel so disconnected from the characters and until the final scenes lost my love for Tobias. I am so lost now.

This series is incredible and I cannot wait for the next book. The narrator does a great job which just ups the creep factor.

Boo.
Revisado: 07-01-13
I really disliked the last book in this series but felt the need to finish it out after committing so much of my time to it. The narrator did a great job but I just did not like this book. This whole series has gone down hill and I expected a huge blow-out of a final book. I am left greatly disappointed and unsatisfied.

Sybella arrives at the convent’s doorstep half mad with grief and despair. Those that serve Death are only too happy to offer her refuge - but at a price. The convent views Sybella, naturally skilled in the arts of both death and seduction, as one of their most dangerous weapons. But those assassin's skills are little comfort when the convent returns her to a life that nearly drove her mad. And while Sybella is a weapon of justice wrought by the god of Death himself, He must give her a reason to live.

Simply wonderful
Revisado: 07-01-13
I loved the first book in this series and while this book started off a tad slow I enjoyed it immensely. I am NOT a fan of historical fiction but there is something about these books that grabbed me. The narrator did a wonderful job and I can't wait to listen to the next book. P.S. I love Beast.

Historia
Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder. In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. Just when he thought he was invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees. Every story has two sides. In Jamie McGuire's New York Times best seller Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it's time to see the story through Travis's eyes.

2.5 STARS
Oh my. I can't believe it.
Let me start off by saying that I listened to this book. Thank God for Dan Bittner (honey read me the phone book any time).
The prologue made me simply uncomfortable. It was awkward and unrelatable.
Here's the thing, I LOVED Travis in Beautiful Disaster. Loved him. I loved his passion and his need for Abby, but I couldn't stand him in this book. He started off as in BD a womanizer, a ladies man but I never thought that hearing his thoughts would be so revolting. When he finally came to terms with his love for Abby he became this whiney needy child, throwing tantrums and fits which didn't translate as being so childish in BD as it did in WD. Don't get me wrong, I love the way he loved her, I loved his passion and at times his need for her, but mostly I was annoyed. I was annoyed that Abby was a drug to him, love isn't about being enveloped by someone else, it's about sharing your lives, it's about loving the person you become when you're with the one you love.
Epilogue- hmph. I usually love when books tie up neatly, when you discover that yes they did live happily ever after, but this pair of books was about how two screwed up people can make something beautiful together, so I feel like knowing where they ended up years later wasn't something I needed. I like who they became, I just didn't feel like it added to the story.
Dan Bittner- I cried when Travis cried. I laughed when Travis laughed. Thank you for being the best part of this book.

It’s 1950, and as the French Quarter of New Orleans simmers with secrets, 17-year-old Josie Moraine is silently stirring a pot of her own. Known among locals as the daughter of a brothel prostitute, Josie wants more out of life than the Big Easy has to offer. Beautiful
Revisado: 03-23-13
What did you love best about Out of The Easy?
I loved the characters, each had it's own accent, it's own story.
What did you like best about this story?
The story captured so much more than 1950's New Orleans. It captured a coming of age girl in a rough situation, it captured first loves and first pains.
What does Lauren Fortgang bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The accents were beautifully done! I loved her interpretation of Willie and Jesse.

Revisado: 02-12-13
I really wanted to love this book, unfortunately I despised the main character. I loved the supporting characters though and I think that's what makes rating it/reviewing so very hard.
Everything was there, but I just couldn't like her. Perhaps that was the point, that we aren't supposed to like her, however it makes reading a book really difficult.

He was tall, at least six feet, with dirty blond hair that hung over his eyes. His T-shirt read Nietzsche Is My Homeboy. So, that was Matt. Who Julie Seagles likes. A lot. But there is also Finn. Who she flat out loves. Complicated? Awkward? Completely. But really, how was this freshly-minted Boston transplant and newbie college freshman supposed to know that she would end up living with the family of an old friend of her mother’s? This was all supposed to be temporary.

Don't put this book off!
Revisado: 02-12-13
I had this on my to-be-read list for a while, not overly interested enough to read it but curious just the same. I believe I purchased the audiobook on sale which is why I finally got around to "reading" it. I wish I had done so sooner.
This book was brilliant, I could not stop listening. I was addicted. I needed to know, and you will too.
I loved every obstacle and hated them just the same.
Don't put this book off any longer.

Revisado: 02-12-13
First of all, Emma Galvin did a wonderful narration (as always).
This book was really hard on my heart, I had a hard time liking the main character at points but overall it was a very good book. It was insightful and broken. Tears are inevitable.
