Historia
After being murdered by a mystery assailant, navigating his way through the realm between life and death, and being brought back to the mortal world, Harry realizes that maybe death wasn’t all that bad - because he is no longer Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard. He is now Harry Dresden, Winter Knight to Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness. After Harry had no choice but to swear his fealty, Mab wasn’t about to let something as petty as death steal away the prize she had sought for so long.

great Dresden story
Revisado: 08-24-21
All of the Dresden stories have been good so far but this one stood out to me as a great one. I really had no idea where the plot was going to go and was pleasantly surprised with each turn of events. Love this series.

Unfortunately, a poorly timed errand sees Tori caught in the debut of a new team of capes, one wearing an all-too-familiar name. Thrust into the spotlight, Tori will have to navigate her unwanted fame as well as the suspiciously superheroic new neighbors down the hall, all while keeping up with her own villainous enterprises. With the guild no longer a secret, Hephaestus needs to grow as strong as possible to face her mounting threats.

great story
Revisado: 05-03-21
I absolutely love this story. In general I only moderately like superhero books but the villians guild concept and the balance of the powers in this world is so well crafted. Great characters and great world building. Can't wait for the next one!

Historia
After the latest mission of the starship Flying Dutchman, Earth is safe not just for a year, but for hundreds of years. The ship’s weary crew wonders what they will do with their lives in peacetime, but the enemy has other plans, and there is danger on the Homefront. Starring Zachary Quinto, R.C. Bray, Kate Mulgrew, Robert Picardo, and everyone's favorite AI, Skippy the Magnificent, alongside a full cast. Includes plenty of pew-pew-pew, original sound composition, and maybe some singing by R.C. Bray.

not as good as main stories
Revisado: 08-21-20
I like what they were trying to do here but i felt like they were so focused on the production, sound effects, and letting the cast interact that the actual story suffered. The plot was ok, but the useless banter levels were of an extreme level here and i wasn't a fan of many of the voice actors. I still love this series but this was the weakest one I've listened to.

Great story, amazing narrator
Revisado: 05-03-20
I only know a bit about Warhammer 40k, mostly from video games, but I've always thought the universe seemed very interesting. This was my first book in this universe. It was a great listen. Really good introduction to the universe with a great main character. The narrator is absolutely fantastic...I will be looking for more of his narration in the future. I highly recommend this book!

really liked the first two books but...
Revisado: 04-28-20
I thougjt the first 2 books were really interesting. This one dragged on and I really felt lost a lot. There were no good natural refreshers of things that happened in first two books within the story and i found the prologue refresher to be terribly put together. I spent a lot of time assuming he would tie in little refreshers throughout the story but he really doesnt. If it's been awhile since you read the old books you're going to have a hard time.

Good series up to about halfway through...then...
Revisado: 06-28-19
I really liked this book series until I got about halfway through, then it just seemed like characters were not acting anything like their developed personalities. Once it hits Ramsey Syndicate, it gets pretty ridiculous. It's pretty rare that I won't finish a book series but at this point I had to stop listening. Its unfortunate because for at least 40 hours of audio it was great then it just fell apart.

Great book, Narrator has a great voice with caveat

Any additional comments?
Fantastic world and story. Its a little hard to follow at moments but if you stick with it it will come together nicely and be very rewarding for the intricacies of the plot.
Steven Brand has a fantastic voice which makes the story very interesting. The only thing I didn't like and that took some getting used to was that he voices all characters basically the same and often goes very quickly back and forth with the characters which makes it hard to follow which character is talking at the moment. I also found his reading pace to be so quick and the words mumbling together at times. This book was the first one I've listened to that I was extremely thankful for the playback speed slider...I had to slow the reading down about 10 to 15 percent before I found it easy enough to follow the narrator. If you find him hard to follow, try slowing the read pace down a bit and it helps tremendously.
