The Bensonhurst toughest Mafia guys
Revisado: 03-07-21
Growing up in the streets of Bensonhurst and knowing the People Sammys talking about, brings back a lot of memories. It was interesting, Accurate and absolutely realistic. And hearing him narrate the story was chilling. Because I knew him growing up and the clubs and places he talks about we all went to. I was on the opposite side of the fence when I grow up. I was a law-enforcement Official. I recommend this series to anyone who is interested in the history of organized crime, or grew up knowing that lifestyle. I don’t justify that life at all. I knew all the people that he mentioned in the story. I met some of them when I was growing up. Amazing history of that life.

Top Cop. Truly New York’s Finest. Making the difference.
Revisado: 09-14-19
Being a former Boss in Law-Enforcement, I can relate to Captain Pegues’s story. I thought the book was excellent, realistic, honest and accurate. I’ve dealt with most of people he mentioned in the NYPD In my career before I retired. I think all people in law-enforcement should be interested in reading this book. At some point maybe it would have an impact on the POLICE OFFICERS and the NYPD The greatest Police Department in the world. After reading this book maybe law-enforcement should revisit with the author and his programs he initiated while he was commanding officer in the NYPD that proved to be Effective at the time. Maybe reinstate them again to better serve the community and the New York City Police Department. It would save a lot of lives and make the relationship with the community and the police in this great city a better place to live. To all police officers be safe and thank you for your service.

Historia
Gianni Russo was a handsome 25-year-old mobster with no acting experience when he walked onto the set of The Godfather and entered Hollywood history. He played Carlo Rizzi, and he didn't have to act - he knew the mob inside and out: from his childhood in Little Italy, where Mafia legend Frank Costello took him under his wing, to having to go on the lam after shooting and killing a member of the Colombian drug cartel in his Vegas club. Along the way, Russo befriended Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando. Russo had passionate affairs with Marilyn Monroe and Liza Minelli....

The title of the book is perfect. Born and raised in New York City, very familiar with Mulberry Street. I thought this book was fascinating, realistic, interesting great story from The author. Besides being a great actor your execution and telling the story was enjoyable very realistic. I can relate to a lot of those stories you told. For those that have no knowledge of the reality of what you are sharing with the readers, the great stories you’ve told where getting a front row seat of how it really was then and is today. You’re right on the money my friend. I look forward to seeing more of you on interviews and books written. If you come to New York say hello. Great job. I think you should put out another CD. I remember seeing you in person when you performed at Carmine’s Copa in Brooklyn right after you were in the godfather, you sang the song You will be in my Music one of Frank Sinatra’s greatest songs. I never forgot it you were great. Best of luck. Steve from Brooklyn.

This is the only authorized biography of the charismatic superstar, Frank Sinatra. Told by his daughter, Nancy Sinatra, with unabashed love and surprising candor, this memoir captures the understanding and depth of feeling that could only come from someone so closely linked. Accounts of her father's rise to fame as a hit singer, movie star, and international celebrity are as detailed as the stories of scandalous divorces, her brother's kidnapping, the false rumors of Mafia connections, and more.

Revisado: 08-09-16
I had the great privilege of meeting Mr. Sinatra throw my uncle George Pappas who's a friend of his. I remember my mother playing his records when I was a child. She was crazy about him, I started listening to songs from a teenager to this date. There's no doubt you're the greatest gift ever put on this earth. I saw him as often as I could when he performed, you felt like he sang to you personally. Especially in radio city musical hall. Like Frank said The best is yet to come. Nancy I think you did a realistic fantastic job on this book. It's about time someone wrote The truth and just how great Sinatra was. I think everyone who is a fan should read this, see not only the man and his music but what a great man he was. There's no one that knows the magnitude of his generosity other than the people who were recipients of all he's done for humanity. Frank my brother you will always be in my prayers and will live on forever, through your wonderful music and your movies.

Being a former boss in Law Enforcement, as the commanding officer of inspectional services/special investigations unit for NYHP. It was a privilege having experienced working with the people mentioned in this book The best of the best, and the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office, over my 30 years on the job. When requiring assistance and Conducting joint investigations. when bringing cases to their attention that was always looked at thoroughly and efficiently and made sure probable cause and the proper evidence warranted investigation. I believe this book was very factual, realistic and authentic. I think everyone in Law Enforcement who believes in what they Took an oath to do should read this book, and learn the struggles stress and dedication this office has, to bring justice to everyone we serve. Congratulations Mike on the book, and the Brooklyn DAs office your the backbone of the city. thank you for job well done, Chief SIU Retired.

The Brotherhoods is the chilling chronicle of the shocking crimes of NYPD detectives Stephen Caracappa and Louis Eppolito, notorious rogue cops convicted in April 2006 of the ultimate form of police corruption-shielding their acts behind their badges while they worked for the mob. Their crimes included participation in the murders of at least eight men, kidnapping, torture, and the betrayal of an entire generation of New York City detectives and federal agents

What did you love best about The Brotherhoods?
The story was based on facts, being a boss in Law Enforcement this was the worst case in the history of the NYPD. Two Murdering scum of the earth low lives disgrased the worlds greatest Police Department in the country. I hope the public knows this not the action of law enforcement officers, these were two cops we all thought were good cops. Thank god for the the police officers that never gave up and worked this case for years, and finally got us justice. They should get the Death Penalty. This book was fantastic. All
Who was your favorite character and why?
All the characters were intresting but I can't give them praise, because this is murder not a movie. When they make a movie I'm sure with the wright cast it will be a great movie. Sad to say but that's what we see everyday in police work and try to protect the public the best we can thats why we all join the force. No
Have you listened to any of Dick Hill’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No but he is great.no
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
no th
Any additional comments?
