Historia
Edwin St. Andrew is eighteen years old when he crosses the Atlantic by steamship, exiled from polite society following an ill-conceived diatribe at a dinner party. He enters the forest, spellbound by the beauty of the Canadian wilderness, and suddenly hears the notes of a violin echoing in an airship terminal—an experience that shocks him to his core.

I can't put my finger on why I don't like it.
Revisado: 03-12-25
I felt the same way about Station 11, but it had a more engaging story. I don't know if it is the melancholic vibe, the narrative tone or just the writing style but the the over-all experience just doesn't sit well. The Station 11 adaptation was one of the few examples where the adaptation outshined the source material. Given its success and the hype for this author, maybe they'll adapt this as well and I can give the story another chance.

I loved it so much
Revisado: 11-11-24
Everything about this book is amazing, from the characters to the world, I loved every second of it. I especially liked the interview with Christopher Paolini at the end, I’ve been wanting to write a novel for such a long time and the interview was really helpful for it. This series has also been a large inspiration for me in multiple different ways, including writing. If you’re interested in writing high fantasy and looking for inspiration or just want an amazing book to read, then Brisingr and the other books in this series are a great choice.

A very very good book
Revisado: 06-15-24
I loved this book, the section where Eragon went into Elezmira to train with Oramis was one of my favorite parts, I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series. Christopher Paolini is an amazing writer and Gerard Doyle was great to listen to.

Historia
In a world of criminals, thugs, con artists, cheats, and swindlers, there must be a man to stand against the powers of darkness and corruption. A man not afraid to walk the mean streets—whether they be those of 1930s Los Angeles, an ancient fantasy realm, or some far-flung planet of a future star empire. He is a man who knows that a “good man” is not always a “nice guy”. But when the chips are down, he understands that a hero does the right thing, even if it means losing everything.

Historia
When fifteen-year-old Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered, and, gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire.

It was great
Revisado: 04-22-24
I loved everything in this book and the reader was really good. One of the things I liked the most was the magic system, words from an ancient language that allow the speaker to call on the power of that thing was very interesting and I’m looking forward to how the words can be combined into sentences in the next books.

Amazing
Revisado: 02-27-24
I loved every thing in this book so much and it did great job at wrapping up the story. All the characters were amazing and the reveal that Eli was actually cloned from Tamera dunlevy made sense but was also surprising, no plot points were unfinished, and Malik’s short relationship with Gus was very nice to listen to. It was great to see Hector become friends with Malik again after everything that happened. This was overall one of the best book series I’ve listened to.

I this is amazing just like the first book
Revisado: 02-16-24
I really like the first book and this one is just good. It was pretty sad when hector died and it was nice when he came back but I was very surprised when it was revealed that he had betrayed them. I liked him quite a bit and I’ve gotten invested into the story and it’s characters so these events were emotional, everything was amazing. I’m looking forward to listening to the next book in the series.

Historia
Eli Frieden lives in the most perfect town in the world: Serenity, New Mexico. In this idyllic place, every lawn is perfectly manicured, and everyone has a pool and a tree house. Honesty and integrity are valued above all else. The 30 kids who live there never lie--they know it's a short leap from that to the awful problems of other, less fortunate places. Then one day Eli bikes to the edge of the city limits, and something so crazy and unexpected happens, it changes everything.

I really liked this
Revisado: 02-11-24
This was a really good book, I found this while looking at other books written by this author after listening to Unplugged. This was great, I didn’t like Tori’s voice in the Malik chapters but other than that the reader did amazing. I noticed that there are two other books in this series a couple minutes before writing this and I’m looking forward to listening to them.

THIS IS AMAZING
Revisado: 01-30-24
I don’t know about anything from the (I think) 80s-90s that this book has because I wasn’t born yet, this book was so fun to listen to. I don’t usually get this invested into stories that much, but I did with this one. It’s amazing, I loved the how the reader said everything, the world building, and if the oasis did exist then I would love to play it.
