Loved Ryder and Ava’s story. You know something happened to have kept them apart for so long, but it was not what I expected!
Love the narrators as well. They have done all the books in this series and do a great job.

fun story

I have previously read this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. When I was offered an audible copy, I gladly accepted - and I loved it even more! This is a really fun story, especially with Chester's compulsory eating antics! Being a dog owner I was quite amused at Ellen's mishaps with the little guy. But, through him she met Henry, so it was worth all the destroyed items in her purse!
I felt the narrator did a very good job. She did very well changing her voice to depict the different characters, and I had no problem following along.
Great story, great narration, you will so enjoy this book!

I really liked the idea of this book, wounded vet needing to deal with PTSD, doesn’t feel he deserved the girl he loved....but it was a bit repetitive. I was also frustrated with the h because she never stood up for herself, she accepted him back regardless of how he treated her. I wanted Paige to have a little more backbone than that.
The narration was not great. It was hard to know who was saying what in conversations with several people It was almost monotone.

I struggled with this book some, but mostly because everything was about lies and deception. Hidden agendas and all of that do come out, and of course, it did in this story as well. I did like the characters, other than that. I was a bit surprised at how the truth came out and I would have liked a little more explanation at the end of how things resolved. It felt a bit abrupt to me.

I received an audio version of this book as a review copy and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I did like the narrator in this book. I didn't have to wonder about who was talking, or if the character was thinking something instead of saying it out loud. She did a good job.

a fast paced story

A girl in witness protection who is found. tries to hide out in a small town. It's not too long before she is on the run again. Isaac is falling for Mackenzie, but when trouble comes looking for her, will he be able to protect her? This is a fast moving, action story and a very good read

This is the first in a series about the Thompson family in Grass Valley. I love Shanna Hatfield's books and this book is one of her best. A cowboy, a cook/housekeeper, and an orphan - a great combination to start a family!
