Sadly Leaves You on a Cliffhanger
Revisado: 06-22-23
The story is very interesting and had me hooked from the beginning. Performances are mostly stellar. To be frank a couple of people sounded like amateurs. It's terrible how it leaves you on a Cliffhanger with no promise of a part two.

Historia
Tender at the Bone is the story of a life determined, enhanced, and defined in equal measure by unforgettable people, the love of tales well-told, and a passion for food. In other words, the stuff of the best literature. The journey begins with Reichl's mother, the notorious food-poisoner known forevermore as the Queen of Mold, and moves on to the fabled Mrs. Peavey, one-time Baltimore socialite millionairess, and, for a brief but poignant moment, retained as Reichl's maid.

Historia
When Dominique Crenn was awarded three Michelin Stars in 2018 for her influential San Francisco restaurant Atelier Crenn, she became the first female chef in the United States to receive this highly coveted honor. Filled with stories from the years Crenn spent working in the male-centric world of professional kitchens, tracking her career from struggling cook to being named the World’s Best Female Chef, starring on Netflix's Chef's Table, and running one of the world’s most acclaimed restaurants, Rebel Chef is disarmingly honest and revealing.

Fascinating Story and Quite Inspiring
Revisado: 10-22-21
My only gripe is that I wish Dominique had narrated the book herself or that someone with a French accent had. It would've felt more personal. Minor gripe.

This is the startling, bewildering, intriguing, and wildly popular account of Stan Romanek's scientifically supported and well-documented experiences of alien encounters and abductions. It is augmented by lab reports, testimonial from prominent professors, and vivid recollections of photo and video stills shots and refers to proven mathematical equations of which Stan should have no known knowledge.

Historia
Eighty-six-year-old Betty Halbreich is a true original. A tough broad who could have stepped straight out of Stephen Sondheim's repertoire, she has spent nearly forty years as the legendary personal shopper at Bergdorf Goodman, where she works with socialites, stars, and ordinary women off the street. She has helped many find their true selves through clothes, frank advice, and her own brand of wisdom. She is trusted by the most discriminating persons - including Hollywood's top stylists - to tell them what looks best.

An interesting life in the fashion industry.
Revisado: 01-23-17
It started off slow at first as I couldn't identify with her privileged upbringing, although it was never boring. It picked up for me once she started working at Bergdorf's.
Jane Curtain does a marvelous job of reading and I'd love to hear her read more.

How much would you pay for a painting with nothing on it? Would it be art? Marc's best friend Serge has just bought a very expensive - and very white - painting. To Marc, the painting is a joke, and as battle lines are drawn, old friends use it to settle scores.
With friendships hanging in the balance, the question becomes: how much is a painting worth?
