Narrator dragged the story down
Revisado: 01-07-16
I love this series and I felt the narrator started strong with Chris's north border accent but things went down hill from there. There is very little consistency with Chris occasionally sounding very "valley boy" or "surfer dude" as opposed to a cop trained in deadly arts since puberty. The greatest weakness is the myriad of female characters and the multiple cultures represented (russian, brittish, latin, various europeans, etc.) the narrator has a tendency to mix and match his "voices" with the women at times sounding identical to one another or one female sounding drastically different throughout the story. I even finished the book thinking the subsequent books would have addressed the issue but with no such luck.
