What did you love best about Raise Your Energy & Increase Your Motivation?

Glenn Harrold knows what he is talking about and does a very good job. His voice is firm and inspiring in itself. I like listening to this one shortly after waking up and my cup of tea.Rule Britannia!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Raise Your Energy & Increase Your Motivation?

A memorable moment was when I was already deeply into the the recording and then Glenn Harrold says, "I am now going to count to three, and at three you will go ten times deeper down...!" - I was impressed. I was already "deep" - how much deeper could I go? But "ten times deeper!" - Well, I guess he was the guide and knew what he could do and what our minds are capable of. In short he inspired confidence and I felt amused at the same time.

Have you listened to any of Glenn Harrold’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I have listened to several of his meditation recordings. They are all good. I think this one was slightly better because he spoke a little more slowly. In some of the others, while they are very good, he sometimes speaks a bit fast for my liking. But all the things I have heard from him have been good.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

A Power Shot to Start Your Day.

If you are hesitating about buying this...like "Should I...?" "Shouldn't I....?" I recommend you should. It is good.

Where does The Diary of a Nobody rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Diary of a Nobody is in a class of its own and I do not rank my books. It is amusing and true to its original form, which I first read in the traditional way 30 years ago.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Diary of a Nobody?

The most memorable moment in Diary of a Nobody is when Pooter paints the bath red and gets into all kinds of subsequent trouble.
I also liked it when Willie changed his name to Lupin, consequently shocking his father.

Have you listened to any of Martin Jarvis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Never listened to Martin Jarvis before, but he does this book 'perfectly' in my opinion.

If you could rename The Diary of a Nobody, what would you call it?

It is impossible to rename this book. The name is perfect.

Any additional comments?

I recommend anyone who has not read or listened to this book to get it; curl up on the sofa on a wet and miserable day, with lots of snacks and a nice fire, and get some free laughter therapy.
This book belongs in the heart of 'everyman' (and woman).

What did you love best about Inspiration for Your Day?

I knew nothing about Ilchi Lee's marvelous insight and outstandingly beautiful poetry until I downloaded this book. Apart from the poems themselves which bring a depth of mind and peace to your soul, the whole production is set to a superbly chosen musical background, and for the price is an outstanding buy. I intend to send this jewel of an audio book to as many of my friends as I can afford. The poems are original, and wonderfully spiritually strengthening, as well as being soothing and peaceful.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Inspiration for Your Day?

To me all the poems were wonderful; but the one I particularly liked was untitled.
I have transcribed it. Here it is:

I know you;
Do not cringe so!/Now get up and run.You can do it.
One single failure is not your all./Cast your dreams with all your might.
Do not cower so...The sadness you hold inside is no big deal.

Which scene was your favorite?

As I said above, the poem that I felt most inspired by was this untitled one:
"I am your soul." if you like....but ALL the poems are beautiful.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely. It is wonderful for one sitting. I have listened to all these poems at least ten to 15 times. I listen to them almost every day. They are so marvelously rich, deep and calm.

Any additional comments?

I believe that these poems reflects basic beliefs of the Eastern understanding of a holistic universe. That is, that life is a journey which culminates in becoming one again with the One, and holds the understanding of new life in reincarnation.
As a Christian, I believe that the divine has a ‘personal’ element and is exemplified in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Therefore, in some way, there is to be a personal resurrection, as opposed to a reincarnation.
But I also believe that these two beliefs, at a deeper level, which I do not fully understand, do not contradict one another. To my mind, as a Christian, the beauty of the Creation in its scientific, cosmological sense as Illchi Lee sees it, complements the deep mystical understanding of Jesus Christ and His teachings.
However, to Christians who understand their beliefs in strict fundamentalist ways - and that they are exclusive - these poems may not be so joyful as I personally feel them to be.

A disappointment.

What disappointed you about The New Bible Cure for Depression and Anxiety?

I was expecting some sort of guidance and advice, but all I got and I was unable to listen to the whole recording) - was a list of what sounded like the side effects of pills printed on the labels of pharmacy medicines.I regret to say I got nothing whatever from this book; but it does not mean that YOU (the reader) may not get some good information. It is just my opinion.

Would you ever listen to anything by Don Colbert again?

No.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Boring repetitive lists of "side effects" depending on what you eat and how you live your life.The narrator also read it in an "elevated enthusiastic way" as if the mysteries of the Universe were being awesomely solved.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The New Bible Cure for Depression and Anxiety?

I only listened to half the audiobook and then gave up. I am unable to say. From what I heard, I would say the whole thing ought to be cut....I did not get up to any "New Bible Cure for Depression and Anxiety" and I certainly could not see it coming.

I do not wish to offend. This review is personal. Another listener may have been riveted by this audiobook; and I do not doubt Dr. Colbert's expertise or good will. It just wasn't the book for me

Would you consider the audio edition of Joshua to be better than the print version?

Yes. This audio version has excellent sound effects and the right ratio of music to words. The producers have chosen very talented readers to play the roles of Joshua, God; the army commanders and the kings against whom Joshua's army fought. The narrative is brilliant and the story one of the most exciting military campaigns in the Bible. Why, to my knowledge, a movie has not been made of this book of Joshua, mystifies me. It is excellent material. My wife, who listened to some of it with me, said that she "felt goosebumps" all over at certain times. Definitely the best and worth buying.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Both Joshua and God were my favorite characters because the roles played in this recording bring out the strength of the warrior Joshua, without shame, before Almighty God. God's words are interpreted and spoken in a wise and measured manner, which makes a perfect contrast between the two.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Everything I have said above already covers how, to my mind, it is the narrators who bring this story to life in an exciting and brilliantly presented way.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The Warriors of God.

Buy it. It is one of the best audio-books from Audible I have (and I have 63). It will give you strength, comfort and encouragement especially if you are feeling in a down mood. It is very virile and exciting.

Would you listen to Kabbalah, Science, and the Meaning of Life again? Why?

I have already listened to it twice. If you have "been there", "done that," "been around the block" and searched for answers without finding them, I sincerely believe you should listen to this amazing exposition of Kabbalah.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Kabbalah, Science, and the Meaning of Life?

The whole thing...the whole audiobook is 'holistic' and hangs together. This came at the right time for me. I can only wish, with the greatest respect, the same for other prospective listeners.

What does Tony Kosinec bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Tony Kosinec reads the story in wonderful clear, beautifully paced style - He manages to convey, by his own clear understanding of this challenging subject, a "reality" and a freshness to the whole thing...Marvelous!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

"A Whole New World!"

Another Deepak Chopra classic.

If you could sum up Creating Affluence in three words, what would they be?

Brilliant, succinct, powerful.

Who was your favorite character and why?

This is not a book of fiction, therefore there are no characters; but there are many quotes from the wise and famous throughout the ages.

What does Deepak Chopra bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Deepak Chopra reads this book eloquently. His intelligence and humor come through beautifully. He clearly knows exactly what he is talking about and where to put the emphasis on his words. His reading is more like music, than a lecture.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. This is a perfect book for one sitting because it is only 55 minutes long. However, there is a natural break that you can make in the narrative about half-way through, when Deepak changes from the 25 step method for raising our awareness, to a more detailed consideration of physics and the 'spiritual' dynamics of the sub-atomic world.I found it useful to make this break. On the other hand I also took my Mp3 player to the gym yesterday and listened to the recording from beginning to end, as I walked 2.8 miles on the treadmill. That exercise took exactly 55 minutes, so the talk fitted perfectly.

I think, while not essential, it would help to be a little familiar with the subject matter and vocabulary ahead of time. - I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve the quality of their lives.
